    c-c-c-cold

I've hunted in Northern Minnesota for many years and dealt with everything from shirt sleeve weather to the type of cold where you get ice in your mustache. I've learned that cold hands and feet are a symptom of a cold everything. What works for me when it's really cold is to wear long...

    hunting bullet report

I typically use a 7-08 for Minnesota white tail and have only recovered one bullet. It was a Speer 140 gr spitz hot core which hit a large doe right in the sternum and was recovered from the rear quarter during skinning. Perfect mushroom and the deer ran ~20 yards and piled up. This year, I...

    HUNTING ISSUES, opinions needed

Since you asked for advice: If you inform the farmer that you and the new guys are throwing barnyard confetti and can't work it out like adults, he may very well ask neither of you to return. However, if you have a good relationship with the farmer, it may be a good idea to inform him of...

    Whats on your mind

What am I thinking? I really like the Leupold M8 4X that came today. If I install it on my slug gun and move the Burris to my 338 Win Mag I could sell the Redfield for about what the Leupold cost me. I am incredibly impressed with the one week turnaround for the repair of my Crimson...

    Gun Registration bill in MN!!!

I read this story earlier this week in the local paper (very left leaning). The whole time I kept thinking that a good measure of the legislators from both sides of the aisle who voted in shall-issue are still in the legislature. I have a feeling this one won't get that far. The meat of...

    I Need Work Related Help!

I don't know the layout or topography, but is there any way they would be willing to pay for a helicopter ride? Could you fire a tracer from the helicopter into the ground/safe backstop. Ryan

    Brass "Cuts"

Maybe you have an allergy to brass? I worked with a guy who was allergic to nickel. Make his hands break out something fierce. Ryan

AR Not Extracting with 25.0 AA2230

That's the very load I use with military brass in my AR and bolt guns with no problems whatsoever. I think there is a mechanical issue with your rifle. That velocity spread seems strange as I get consistent velocities ~3000 fps in my AR and 3150 in my bolt guns. Ryan

    ID this gun please

It bears a strong resemblance (injection moulding wise) to something that Intratec would have produced. The sights look very similar too.

Saw Something at the Range I'd Never Seen Before...

It seems that a person should be able to use their equipment (of whatever quality or cost) to it's best potential. More power to the folks who have the ability to drop major dollars on their hobby. I've seen similar situations to the one you described and I chalk it up to inexperience. Most...

    Minnesota guys...callin' you out.

I agree with Sportsmans warehouse, nothign but good experiences with the stores in Coon Rapids and St. Cloud. For private stores, I really like Little Crow Sports in Hutchinson (off of highway 15 North), the Gunstop, and I've heard good things about the Wolfs Den in Hugo too. If I need...

Ex-boyfriend kicks in door, new boyfriend kills him

Rockford is split by the Crow River. This must have happened on the West side of the Crow River (Wright County). Had it been the East side, they would have been in Hennipen county (which includes Minneapolis, etc.) and I think the comments from the law enforcement and county attorney would...

    35 rem and my 7600

I had a similar issue with my Dad's 7400. Turns out the lever that holds in the clip (can't think of the name right now) comes in three different heights. Installed the one that held the clip in the farthest and problem went away. Ryan

Tales from the ghetto: Legal advice needed!

Don't forget about the press. If you get video, I'd bet the local news would be interested. Ryan
