I'm rather fond of my Taurus 617 2" Stainless steel. I hear people day that there were problems with the Titanium model, however mine has been nothing but a pleasure to shoot. Loaded up with 7 rounds of. 357 Golden Saber it is controllable and is more than accurate enough.

Well I figured that I may as well chime in as I have both of the guns in question. I absolutely love both. My KP97 was the first gun that I ever bought ,14 years and 6 pistols later it is still the one that gets the most carry. Now I only bought the P95 because up until about a year ago I did...
I am also a fan of the Mechanix gloves. They fit my hands very well and the model I buy has the Velcro closures at the wrist. They are offered in several colors. I prefer the solid black.

The CCI snakeshot cycles just fine in my stock SW40VE. Patterns well at reasonable distances. But man are they LOUD!!!

Im thinking that if I ground down some of the serrations on the hammer that it might help. I like the exposed hammer for target shooting and looks so I really would hate to get rid of it.

I usually do wear gloves when shooting. But I'm not always going to have them. So I shoot without them from time to time.

I'm 6'5" about 300 lbs and have pretty large hands. I usually shoot with a very high grip and I really don't want to get my hammer ground down. I do have a set of Hogue HandAlls on it and they make me grip it higher than normal.

I actually like that suggestion. I love shooting that pistol. It was my very first handgun purchase many years ago. Shoots even better now than it did then. I don't get to shoot as much as I used to due to rising ammo prices, so I suppose my hand could be getting a little sensitive.

I broke out the old Ruger P97 yesterday to run a few rounds through it. Everything was normal except one thing. I usually wear gloves when shooting and this time I did not and the hammer on this pistol was giving me the blues. Don't get me wrong it shot great and functioned reliably but the web...
The gentleman in question is pretty proficient with leather. He makes saddles and such. His current customers that I have asked like his work and say he is very reasonable in price. I figured it would be cheaper than the Belt Man and quicker.
