    Printing Paranoia.

It does, but I doubt many LEO's would do enforce it if it was an obvious accident, like my friend experienced. As to the other poster, in NY printing isn't the same as your shirt/coat riding up, and I'm sure wouldn't be an issue either.

    Printing Paranoia.

I was in line at a convenience store with a friend. We were both carrying. His jacket had ridden up over his .45 and caught on it. The NY State Trooper in line behind him pulled his jacket down for him. I thought that was a pretty gracious move. Could've arrested him for brandishing...

Questions raised by New York's New Magazine Restrictions

No, we're not. We voted correctly. We protested correctly. We were outnumbered. Read the numbers in the above posts. Wait until the national version of this law hits you. Will YOU be an embarrassment to the nation -- because it can happen to you, too. NY bashing is getting out of...

How Many New Yorkers on THR Voted For a Guy that Voted FOR the New AWB Law There?

This is so oversimplified. I voted for people who voted against it. NY is overwhelmed by the influence of NYC. We are outnumbered. The "you got what you deserved" has been repeated in several threads, worded various ways. I did not get what I deserved. I will say this again, to...

New York State Ban - We need your help as well as other states

TomRKBA Get a grip. NY is a huge state. It's a VERY red state with a couple of very big BLUE cities that influence everything that happens. We are outnumbered. Did you elect Obama? Someone in a foreign country would say "those stupid Americans elected Obama. They are STUPID and...

Will the new NY law be repealed by the Courts?

Again, many of us don't embrace any of it. We're outnumbered by a city that, in my case, is hundreds of miles away. My local legislators voted against this. Why has this guy's trolling been tolerated here?? Not The High Road I know and love.

    NY Gun Law....Weapons Affected.

I don't know...this is the list of 'assault weapons'. It really doesn't address the magazine issue, regarding handguns NOT classified as assault weapons. Still blurry for me. Also high-capacity revolvers are not mentioned. Could be a sticking point. Waiting to see.

Will the new NY law be repealed by the Courts?

You're right. I've seen the overwhelmingly red map. In area, NY is a red state. Because of sheer urban numbers, we're a blue state. I can't stand the NY ignorance. It is a huge state, with two, huge, mountainous regions, the finger lakes, and Western NY (Niagara Falls, etc). And...

    Taking a gun to work?

As others have said, this is oversimplified in many regards and, for some workplaces, totally wrong. I work on hazardous sites. I'm not allowed to carry there. And if you think, after 9-11, that giant chemical plants are soft targets, you're totally wrong. Think about it. That...

    44 mag load for a friend...help

I have a bunch of threads on THR talking about this. My load is 10.9 gr of Unique pushing a 240gr (usually MagTech) JSP. It's been my go-to load for target shooting, plinking and has taken 5 deer from 5 to 85 yards from two different hunting revolverw. When I'm hiking or archery hunting...

PARA G.I Expert mixed reviews ,Help.

I have the Para GI Expert ESP (not stainless, blued). I got it early last spring. It's a well-made, highly accurate 1911. The only problems I experienced were with the two included Para magazines. Many, many failures to return to battery. With two Kimber mags, no such problems in a...

    Aging this buck?

3-5? In Maine, that would be a monster. That's a great buck, but more like 2.5 years old, tops. Just my opinion.

    Magtech bullets

I think they're great. Use em in .45acp (FMJ), .357 (JSP) and .44mag (JSP). 44mag Magtech 240's have accounted for 5 deer for me from 5-85 yards. Excellent penetration and expansion even over my light/moderate handload.

Squirrel Hunting... What is MY accuracy requirement?

I'd go with the golf ball suggestion. I used to be really passionate about early season squirrel hunting, and picked it up again this year (Marlin bolt action .22mag). As an above poster said, don't limit to head shots. A behind-the-front leg shot is easier, and will kill them just as...

    tanning pheasant hide

+1 on the Borax. I would rinse the salt off of it ASAP, pat dry, and then sprinkle liberally with Borax.
