You could shoot a 20 ga in a 12 ga gun with an adapter, not sure if they will cycle in a pump or auto but they are used often on the skeet and trap fields with single shots and over/unders. http://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Convert-shotgun-Reducer-Chamber/dp/B0039D64BE

what kind of call are you going to use or is someone else calling? There are any number of kinds out there, box, diaphram, slate etc. I would go to a store and try a few out and maybe hook up with an experienced turkey hunter.

I'd keep one barrel stoked with the #4's and one with the Slug that way you have the far and near bases covered. A load of #4's is going to ruin anyones parade if they get hit with them within HD ranges. The slug can reach out and touch them a little further away.
