Lone Wolf barrel for Glock 27 .40 cal

I have a LW barrel for my G27. It works fine, and keeps the brass from expanding quite so much as the factory barrel. The logo is ugly, but no-one seems to notice that when I smoke them at the local IDPA match. :p

    question about C&R and NC

How do type 01 FFL's take possesion of handguns from their distributors for their retail inventory? I've looked at the statutes for a 'dealer exemption' to the handgun permit requirement, but never found one.

    Source for belly band material?

I'm looking for an online source of elastic belly band material, pretty much has to be 6" in width, and sturdy. None of the available belly band type rigs offer what I need, so I'll have to make my own (if I can get my sewing machine running :banghead: ) Large sheets of Velcro would also be...

How do you adjust an AR15 barrel to realign windage?

You may not need to file the receiver. If the slot is just too wide, you may still be able to realign the barrel as needed and torque the nut.* It just might take a little trial and error to get the barrel torqued down in the right place. IMO, even if you have to file (not Dremel ;)) the slot...

Thanks, Tuner. The Wilson is my preferred aftermarket slidestop. Figgers it was invented a hundred years ago. :p

That one I didn't know about. What was the reason for the change to that part?

    Stress fractures in Glock slide

Agreed. Dry firing is not causing the problem. Remove a Glock striker and look how short the blade tip is that protrudes through the breechface, and how much of it actually sticks out when the striker is fully forward in the firing position. The breechface is painfully thin, but only in the...

Need info on NC pistol purchase permit

See Zach's post. Federal laws still apply, and a transfer of any firearm across state lines requires an FFL.

    Thoughts on the ParaOrd Warthawg?

I've shot one, and it was surprisingly comfortable to shoot. Low recoil, fast follow-ups, and no trouble with the grip. But reliability was lousy. Before long the frame cracked in three places and the dust cover fell off. :scrutiny:

Anyone recognize these Sig 220 grips?

Hogue checkers new SIG grips to approximate the old style, and sells them in the Odds and Ends section of their auction site: http://www.hogueauction.com/browse.php?id=201 But it looks like the 226 grips are so thin already that the checkering cuts right through, leaving "pin holes" in...

PM9 neither passed NOR failed... now what?!

"PM9 neither passed NOR failed" Actually, it did fail. Sorry. :( I've heard enough Kahr owners report that their guns ran 100% after a predictable 200 rds of break-in to accept that as a fact of life with those guns. For the niche they fill (little autos in high calibers), it may not be...
