I sold mine after having the mag catch
break twice,it a shame as it ran 100%
and was accurate enough for a pocket
pistol.i was carefull not to slam
home the mag and damage the catch.
I have a 1st gen 44 bulldog that i
have to tighten up screws on every
150 rds or so.
Other than that it's been one of my
better revolvers i've owned.With my
reloads and if i do my part i can
get 2" groups at 15 yards.
I've looked at a few of the newer
charter 2000 guns in the local...
I spent last summer carrying a 3"
S&W 625-7 chambered in 45 colt.
It helped that i had a stiff belt
and a well build but no name OWB
holster.
I would just use a oversized T shirt
for concealment,it seemed to work
just fine.
My Mossberg 500A 12 gauge would beat
me up until i put out a limbsaver
recoil pad.
Felt recoil with reduced or managed
recoil buckshot loads are close to a
AR-15,maybe a little heavier but not
by much.
www.ammunitiontogo.com has the 12
gauge 1oz Brenneke KO slugs,13.95
+shipping for 25 rounds.
They also have great prices on
various other slugs and buckshot.
I ordered 5 boxes of Winchester 12
ranger 00 buck and 5 boxes of Fed
Tru-ball 12 gauge slugs.
They came out to 4.00 bucks a...
I like 2 3/4 managed recoil 12 gauge
00 buck for home defense.Less muzzle
blast/recoil mean quicker follow up
shots.With a limbsaver recoil pad
on my mossberg felt recoil is quite
low.I can put 5 rounds of 2 3/4"
instead of 4 3" rounds in my shotgun
Hogue grips for the 85 should work as
they are a bit smaller than the grips
from the factory.
But they might be too small depending
on your hands as they leave the back
strap open.
I had great luck with any 22lr ammo in
my 21A that was not bulk packed. My
favorite load was the Federal small
game load that's packed in the 100
plastic box.Any bulked packed ammo
would give me too many Failures to
feed to make them worth while.
In limited testing i found that the
Federal classic 125gr jhp would get
1300fps from my 2" 640-1.The Winchester
158gr jhp only clocked 1175fps from
the same revolver.
In a Sp-101 i would try the Winchester
145gr silvertip first as the Sp-101's
i've owned would shoot quite low with...
