    New S&W 9mm

I had an EZ 380 that I got before they released the 9mm and I liked it just fine. Never had any trouble with it except that I thought the grip was too small for my arthritic old hands. I will definitely look at one of these if I ever get the chance to fondle one.

    Taurus Spectrum

The one I have had light strikes to begin with. Turned out to be manufacturing debris in the striker channel.

    What is wrong wit me?

Saw one just like that at Bi-Mart last week. If the grips had been white I'd have bought it.

Precision Pistol Box (Pachmayr Range Box clone) overview

I have a Gun Ho (IIRC) box somewhere. (I'm not at home and can't go look). I got curious one time and emptied it out and weighed it. It weighed ~15 pounds, empty. I use a range bag nowadays.

    S&W Model 22A-1

The 22a1 was accurate and reliable and very easy to take apart for cleaning. It ate just about every kind of ammo I fed it, although it sometimes had problems with thunderbolts. It had a funky little plastic recoil buffer that had to be replaced every so often. They were cheap and easy to get...

Llama Micromax 1911 style .380 comparison of older and newer models?

Yes it does, and it's one of the easiest shooting .380s I've owned, especially with magazine extender to make the grip just a bit longer. (I still like my Colt Gov't Model better.)

    New S&W Shield Models

I've since been told by a reliable source that it's single sided only. I was probably thinking about one of their larger pistols. I was thinking that there might finally be a S&W semi auto centerfire pistol I would want to keep. (I like their .22s) Oh well.

    S&W Model 22A-1

I had one for many years and ran thousands of rounds through it with zero problems until it disassembled itself in my hand on the range one day. The forward end of the recoil spring was held in place by a piece of plastic that disintegrated and spit bits of plastic everywhere. The spring...

    New S&W Shield Models

I've spent some time on the web trying unsuccessfully to find out if the thumb safety on the new shield is ambi like the older models. Anybody know for sure? The new ruger's safety is single sided only, as usual, making it a waste of material for us lefties.

    New Ruger MAX-9

The safety isn't ambi, so not useful to left handers. Bah!

    Tisas 380

I had one for about a year. It was well made and never gave me any trouble, but I found it pretty 'snappy',. Of course, some of that may be attributable to the arthritis in my hands. BTW, I do presently have a Glock 42 with an extended magazine and like it just fine, and I don't like Glock...

    Suggest a 380 as a shooter

I have a Colt Gov't 380, a S&W 380 EZ, a Glock 42, and a Springfield 911 .380. I like the Springfield, but it is probably smaller than your father would like. The Glock is small too, but with an extended magazine, it fills the hand pretty well. I love the Colt, but the small, non-replaceable...

    Ruger PC Charger

I agree. I'd like some more room up front to maybe mount a light &/or laser. I'm hoping Ruger will come out with a 10" (or so) barrel in the future, although their track record hasn't been very good so far.

    M&P9 Shield Ez - Like?

Yup. I have a .380 with a thumb safety and I like it just fine. I've never had any problem with the grip safety but I have considered putting a grip sleeve on it because the grip is a little thin in my hand. I didn't need another .380 but I bought it because I want the EZ model(s) to be a...

    Sig p365

If I ever see one with a safety I'll probably buy it too. I have pistols without safeties, but with a trigger as light as the one on the 365 I fondled, I want a safety. Yes, I'm also a lefty.
