At the range I always use "puffs" and muffs. Hunting I keep a pair of electronic muffs in my backpack and almost always have them on during any shot. It's improved my field shooting as I don't find myself as a fan of muzzle blast.

I wouldn't say I totally hate them but I dislike anything Short Magnum and Most magnums, though I do have two custom rifles in .257 Wby Mag and 300 Win Mag. ;)

Nearly all manufacturers tell you not to shoot reloaded ammo. That's simply a CYA move on their part. Now with a Glock, some say the polygonal rifling they use that can result in a lead build up which contributes to the gun firing slightly out of battery and thus a kaboom.

Pumpkinheaver, I have used the same bullet with it's sister powder (WW296) out of a GP100 on feral hogs. It certainly performs far better than it's "paper" ballistics would indicate.
