It is possible that the round it trying to feed into the chamber but hitting the edge of the barrel and causing the malfunction. Throating the barrel will fix the problem if this is the case. The problem area would probably be the edge of the barrel were the extractor contacts the barrel...

It just jambs when it ejects a round, it tries to eject the live round also. Really not enough information to tell what is causing the problem. I am sure it will not take much to get your Benelli up and running right. Check your extractor, ejector and the recoil spring tube for binding...

what kind of jams are you having aka what does it do when jams? Shell not ejecting? shell not going into the chamber? etc.

Justin, Glad to hear the carriers are well for you sure beats a missed-up thumb:D:D Dr. Rob, I am sure some people are using Fobus holsters for 3-gun. The biggest difference to me is that the Fobus retains the gun a little to well. Bladetech does cost more but you only have to cry...

I use a Blade-tech drop offset for my STI. It it secure and works just fine.

Buy it and don't look back. At 100 rounds it is not even broke in yet. They can be made to run light loads but I would guess it just needs to shot some with standard loads. Good Luck.

Quintin, A 4 round tube will fit almost flush with you 18 1/2" barrel. With a round loaded on the carrier you will have a 9 shot gun. Just whenever you get ready for the carrier. Jeff

Quintin Likely, Congrads on your new Benelli M1 I am sure you will enjoy it. There are a few thing you can do if you intend to shoot light loads all the time so it will cycle 100% with shell carriers mounted on the gun. Here are a couple links about the modified carrier...

I have had both I like the standard Green MTN bag size a little better, but the Shooters Connection (my current shooting bag) is better quality and it has more features. You really can't go wrong with either one, but the SC bag is a better deal.
