    Double Action 45 ACP thoughts?

Springfield XDM I am a Springfield XDM man and with the 3.8" compact (9+1 or 13+1 w/extension) or full size (13+1) 4.5" barrel. Excellent customer service!

    1911 45 ACP "range" Ammunition

I shoot WWB exclusively and no problems in my 9mm or my .45acp. I do have a problem finding quality ammo for my .38 Super, mostly use Remington UMC, but would prefer Winchester or Federal.

    Opinions on Springfield's XD® 5″ 9mm

I have the 5" XD 9mm Tactical and it is one of only two stryker pistols I have and like it for a poly gun. In fact when we start being able to open carry on Jan 1st, i might use it (or my matte stainless CZ75B) for carry pistol because of the weight and capacity compared to my 1911's.

    Pulled gun for defense

Just wondering how many of those using this forum had ever had to pull their weapon out for defensive purposes? How many times?

    70 Series Colt 1911 ?

I don't know about other gun retailers on line, but Bud's ships to FFL and if you don't like the gun, you just don't accept from FFL and Buds gives credit. If you accept from FFL and take home. You can't return without restocking charge.

Known out the box accurate 1911s

With cost factored into the equation, I believe SA Loaded for the price paid is the best bet. And for @ $500.00 more the TRP is the best in terms of production guns. And my Colt Government .38 Super is most accurate Colt but I figure you are comparing .45acp, but the .38 Super is the most fun...

    Indecision over a 9mm Colt 1911

I have the lightweight defender as my carry gun. If you are not going to carry then go with the full size SS XSE. In the full size gun I like the recoil better in the standard weight, but if you are talking about a carry gun then go with light weight stainless XSE but in a commander model.

    Colt Combat Commander value?

steel alloys In my business I deal with steel alloys quite a bitand most steel alloys are much stronger than standard and usually are much more money. The most common steel alloys have nickel and mollybendrum or chrome alloys. Also just heat treating steel and then quenching in water will...

    Best PRODUCTION 1911, a poll

Closed poll The poll has closed and i'm happy I don't have to choose between Colt or Springfield. I think the TRP is nose to nose with the XSE. I wouldn't hesitate on either one.

Thinking about selling one of these

Walt My Colt Defender is a 9mm and I've never had a hiccup, and as far as I know from the forums I visit, the Springfield EMP and Range Officer Champion haven't had any major problems, so I think the 1911 platform and 9mm are a good combination with the right mfg.

    PerFecta 9mm

Our Walmart had WWB f/$15.50 box last weekI bought a couple of hundred as I already had between 500-600. Also great prices on their .45acp but can't remember price and only bought one box of 100 as I already had @400 rounds and I only have 1 .45 now because my son borrowed one from me and it...

    Next Polymer Handgun?

I love my CZ, but it is metal. Best Poly I have is the Springfield 9mm tactical with 5" barrel. I only own 2 poly's and both are Springfield. I like the metal and I have aCZ75B with manual safety, so it can be carried locked and cocked as all my 1911 platforms are carried that way. Poly or...

Thinking about selling one of these

Which one would you get the most money selling? That way you would use less out of pocket. That would be my determining factor.
