    Hk usp 40c

I ride the thumb safety when shooting, and most people I see shoot my USPc do the same since otherwise the safety is kind of in the way. The only way I can do it is if I'm consciously trying to force the lever all the way down.

    Hk usp 40c

My USPc .40 has been my carry pistol for the last 6(ish) years. The firing pin broke during dry firing and needed to be replaced, which H&K did despite my not being covered by the warranty. Never had a failure of any sort in live fire. Regarding complaints about holster availability: I've...

    Best carry Sig in 9mm?

The P239 sounds like it'd fit. I briefly owned one before giving it to a friend. The only thing that kept me from liking it more than my current carry choice (a USPc .40) was it being a single stack. Pretty solid pistol if you're comfortable with the lowish ammo capacity.

    ARs with Magpul Furniture

I just got my Palmetto State Armory mock dissipator with all MOE furniture and I'm very happy with the quality given the price point. I'd recommend it if you can stomach the wait (mine took over a month to ship) and the fact that PSA will not answer emails or return calls.

    Need some IWB holster recommendations

That's not entirely true. I carry iwb in pants that are tight enough to stay up on their own without a belt. In fact, I find it fairly easy to carry IWB without going up a waist size provided I don't also wear a spare mag on my belt.

    concealed carry gun grab defense

I'm sorry that your point was lost due to the poor way in which it was phrased.

    AIWB

If you're going to do a lot of bending at the waist while carrying at the appendix position you're going to experience some "digging", no way around it. That said, I personally don't think it's that bad or, at the very least, you get used to it. When I first got an appendix carry holster I was a...

    concealed carry gun grab defense

Obviously it's easier to avoid a fight than it is to win one, doubly so when you're starting in a position of disadvantage. That's not the point of contention. You seem to be among them. The notion that any attempted gun grab that takes someone by surprise will be successful is totally absurd...

    concealed carry gun grab defense

I'm not saying that being taken by surprise doesn't put the defender at an enormous disadvantage. It does, no argument. It is absolutely a proven and effective tactic for exactly that reason. However, that does not make it a foolproof and automatic method of winning every fight. Feel free to...

    concealed carry gun grab defense

Wrong. There are several defenses against surprise attacks, starting with awareness and ending with retention and HtH techniques. Being surprised is not where the fight ends, and believing it is is a mindset problem. Yeah, because it is. It's objectively more difficult for a bad guy to surprise...

Anyone ever purchased from Bud's Gun Shop?

Just bought two guns from them a little over a week ago. They shipped fast and sent email updates every time my order status changed. Prices were better than those in my local area by over $100 (including the transfer fee). Wouldn't hesitate to deal with them again, just be aware of their return...

Looking for an AK47 or 74

I bought an arsenal SGL 21 a couple of weeks ago and I'd recommend it over the various cheaper models I've inspected in the weeks prior to the purchase. The only downsides are that it's still very stiff (particularly the safety and the magazine release) and very sharp (particularly the safety...

    Bought a Benelli

Just picked mine up from the FFL the other day and so far I'm very happy with how it handles. Can't wait to get out to the range next week and shoot it. Sidenote: I see it has a hole on the mag clamp on the front for, I assume, a sling loop. Since I know absolutely nothing about sling loops...

    Appendix Carry?

My go-to off duty holster is a raven concealment ACR (for a USPc). While I wouldn't describe myself as "skinny", I'm thin enough that appendix carry is the only way I can reasonably conceal a decent sized pistol. Ever since I've gotten used to it my old horseshoe leather hip holster just gathers...

    AK47 For Home Defense?

And? Neither that or the Peairs case suggests that the looks of a particular weapon plays a major role in outcome of a self defense shooting. This isn't relevant to whether or not using a "politically incorrect" weapon for home defense plays a significant role in the outcome of a trial. Losing a...
