Ruger Single Six 3 Screw - Date of Manufature?

Dougan's book "Ruger Pistols and Revolvers 1949 - 1973" has this serial number listed as Single Six, not a magnum. Looks like both original cylinders were lost and then a replacement .22lr was found. Serial number range of 342451- 354834 made in 1962. Only way to know for sure is to ask Ruger...

    Ruger Single Six Old Model

What does it say on the side of the frame under the cylinder? As the others have noted, this gun is in the magnum serial number range. Do you have one or two cylinders?

    Going rate for Colt Python

Yes I have. Never any issues. Be sure to read all the rules for buying and selling. They charge Ohio sales tax to in state purchasers and also a buyers fee and shipping. It adds up, especially on an expensive item.

    Going rate for Colt Python

This auction always seems to have a few of them. This is a monthly auction with no reserves. If the gun in the first link had the correct grips, it would have gone for more. The bidding on the grips will be done tonight. I think the numbers the gents have given you above are good...

    Ruger Three-screw Show and Tell

My most recent purchase. Stag grips (which I sold) and a 12" barrel. And a first year SBH. Has a nice purple gate.

    Which Blackhawk is your favorite?

My favorite is this Super Blackhawk with 10.5" barrel. I like shooting steel at 50 - 100 yards with it.

Got the itch for one of the old revolvers

Not a .32 or .38 but it is an Iver Johnson.

Where is a good place to buy grips for a single action?

Anybody Know Anything about Iver-Johnson 22's?

I also have a Supsershot Sealed 8 made in 1933. Fun little revolver.

    Ruger Single Six Convertable

Barrels were originally supplied in the 50s and 60s by a few different vendors, Marlin Firearms being the first. As production increased barrels were also supplied by Wilson Arms and Small Arms Manufacturing. I'm not sure exactly when Ruger started manufacturing their own pistol/revolver...

    6 rounds of .44 or 7 rounds of .357/38?

    Still leaves two. :)

    Bi-Centenial 44 mag Ruger SBH

"Made In the 200th Year of American Liberty" I have a Single Six with the same markings. There were too many made for it to add any significant value, unless as stated, it is NIB with all paperwork and accessories. Even then, it only adds $25-50 over a similar unmarked example.

    Single Six question

It is not the carbon in stainless that makes it magnetic, it is the presence or absence of nickel in the alloy that makes the difference. If it is a blued gun, more than likely it has an aluminum gripframe. The cylinder, cylinder frame and barrel should be steel. The magnet will not stick to...
