I have an 870...wouldn't get rid of it ever.
I picked up a CZ Canvasback, and love that over/under shotgun for skeet/trap
My next up is probably going to be a Remington 11-87 or a mossberg 590. Wanting to get into the semi-auto game.
If money isn't a problem, I'd honestly be looking Benelli...
I haven't read the rulings in a year or so, but last time I went through that stuff the possession of any sole part used in a full-auto or burst gun was not illegal. Even if said part was installed.
It only became illegal after the conglomerate of parts were assembled in a firearm that it...
Finding used 357 sig brass is feasible. I just picked up a set of Lee dies and 300+ pieces of brass. Missed on a few other batches cause I was slow getting back to the guy.
Also, for plinking you can re-purpose 40 S&W brass to fit the bill. I wouldn't rely too heavily on that since the neck...
There isn't a co-relation between the velocity, and the accuracy. You'll find a sweet spot that a certain bullet in that certain rifle likes to be at for speed. Go beyond, or under, and the groups will open up.
I have a rem 700 in 223 that likes my 40 grain varmint killers at pretty fast...
If I remember right, glocks have that polygonal rifling, and it presents certain challenges while shooting lead bullets.
As far as shooting them through the suppressor with a light load they wouldn't be an issue otherwise. I've shot tons of lead in my XD-357. The only concern I would have at...
It wouldn't be the mass of the powder. The powder burns to create a expanding gas. This expanding gas pushes on the bullet and the breach face equally. The bullet accelerates like hell because of its low mass as compared to the firearm. More powder=more gas produced.

wow at the 9mm dies thread.
Wow...
...and my ignore list grows again.
BTW Berry's is still shipping 9mm bullets for original prices. Took 4 weeks, but I got my 1k 124 gr Flat points for 96$ I doubt he'll ever see that price he's asking.
I'm using that combo...or have been. Just switched over to Berry's hp's. I'd have to look in my notes, but I think I was around 9.5 grains. But I wouldn't take that as the gospel.

chucked the die into a power drill, 600 grit wet/dry for 15 minutes, and BAM....
no more shaving! Rounding out the chamfer did the trick! Thanks everyone for the help!

The brass chambers in my barrel now, I was about .04-.055 out before I had the die cut back. I'm running 2 different handguns (S&W MP and SA XD). The XD has a shorter (shoulder isn't as far forward) chamber than the MP, and the die was not contacting the shoulder at all. I ran the...
The only pistol round I reload is 357 sig...also the only one I shoot. If I run it without the 40 sizing die first it shaves the entire case...it's pretty bad.
Probably going to the machine shop tomorrow and milling out that last 1/8th inside the die so it doesn't contact. Hopefully when it...
