I have a Nagant, worst I've fired.
First time my wife shot it, I had her try it double action first.
She got this funny look on her face, kinda looked at the gun a bit
and says " ok, where the hell is the safety".

Thanks for checking the transfer bar and posting the pictures.
Looking with just the naked eyeball, I'd say mine is closer to the first
picture, but maybe a little stronger.
Too bad they didn't tell you what they did to it.
Edit added....almost looks like a smaller diameter or a flat
tip on the...
ejhokie74,
Did they tell you what they did to it?
Also asking a favor.....with the hammer cocked
does the transfer bar cover most of the firing pin?
Mine only covers the lower 1/3rd to maybe 1/2 of
the pin. I'm getting misfires on double action
about 1 every 20-30 rounds.
Ruger is sending me a...
I own the GP100 that DS 10 speed referenced a few posts up. He's a little kinder
to Ruger than I am. That thing has more sharp edges than a box of razor blades,
the basics are there but the finishing details are lacking.
Basically reflects that Ruger is churning out thousands of guns per day and...
Don't know the margins on gun sales, but can talk about other consumer products.
Outdoor power equipment and consumer appliances... I call tell you stores have
seen their margins cut to about 1/3rd of what they were ( it varies ).
Big box/chain stores, the internet, financing offers have eaten...
Of course we expect to see a 50 yard target picture that looks like the
piece of cardboard.
Do they tell you what load they test with?
Nice toy!!

I've noticed that Ruger LCPs are now at about $200, a few months
ago they were $300 range ????
Did they release a new model?
Anybody know what happened?
Dave
I don't own one but have shot a friend's Henry for a few hundred rounds.
It's a POS. Given the choice between it and a sharp stick, I'd be looking
the stick over pretty close.
The thing would fail to feed, had very poor accuracy no matter what ammo
was tried in it.
Yes it would float, although...
Well, I'd guess Mr. Leatham was not real happy with the stage shown in the
first vid. linked. He only had one "clean" pass on it, 4 of the 5 were six
shots.
Still a whole lot quicker than than I'll ever be......

Thanks Guys.
I'll try for a picture next week.
Sounds like time to borrow the boom truck.
Will the door lift out of the hinges, thinking to sling
it with the fork lift. If the door is removed any reason not to
move it around by sticking the forks in the opening with
blocking at the rear...
Thanks for the reply.
Will try to get back and get a picture of it next week.
Weight is not real important, I've got a forklift on my end, of course
I can't drive it into my den! Just kinda need to come up with a loading
plan at the store it's at. Sling and a boom truck or 4 big guys and a...
I have a chance to pick up a used Amsec safe. It has a TL-30 rating
and a 1850 deg 2hour UL fire rating.
Tagged as a Major series about 40 x 32 x 26 outside dims.
Lock is a LaGard. Seems to be in good shape.
I know there are a few safe people on this site, asking if you have
a idea of weight...

Seeing how this thread got onto Rolex, here's a link ( it's safe )
to a Rolex being serviced.
They still have great cases and bands, but there a better movements
