My buddy has a request into Ruger for letters currently.
He's also located the missing cylinder for the Single Six.
Both pistols have not been modified or back to the factory for any upgrades.
Thanks so much for your assistance.

It doesn't have the transfer bar safety that I could see, and I did not see an "R" stamped anywhere that I saw.
If single action 44's were my thing I might have picked it up from him but I don't have the cash necessary for the deal.
And as to grabbing it cheap, I just couldn't do that to a...
Hi all!
A friend of mine is wanting to sell a couple of pistols. I was able to pull some rough valuations out of Gun Digest but his Blackhawk in 44 has me a bit stumped due to it's age.
What he has is a Ruger Blackhawk in 44 Magnum. The serial # is 55XX. It has a 6 1/2" barrel and...

We made a game for them called "Pick up the Brass"! They all had fun picking up the spent cases. They also...

Of course I don't don't mind. Most men's wives want jewelery or clothing as presents.
Mine was...
My wife's been known to fire off some surplus ammo in her 303 Brit. I think the headstamp indicated it was made in 03..... As in 1903. Scary thing is, about 90% of it still goes bang.
I'd never seen cordite till I pulled a couple of the dud rounds. The problem wasnt the cordite, it lit...
