    Bubba's gun smithing rifle version.

The solution would be to weld the holes. Mount it in a milling machine and redrill / tap the holes. Refinish it and re-barrel it. All that should cost a bit less than two or three new rifles. I'd sell the stock and bolt. Destroy the receiver. Use the barrel as a tomato stake. Cut my losses...

    .40 vs 10mm for CCW/Self-Defense (Against Humans)

I'm not a Glock Fan Boi. Cartridge development reached it's pinnacle when JMB came out with the .45ACP. Besides, Real men measure their calibers in inches, not the metric system. Real men also prefer metal firearms. The 1911's straight pull trigger is the best trigger on a pistol, and it's over...

    Bragging Friend talks too much

I think the OP's friend is off to a good start.

In October, Driving From Miami to Kalispell Montana. What Firearms to Take?

If you're camping along the way, you may want a long gun. I do a lot of camping/boondocking. I have the back of my pickup outfitted with bed, stove, fridge, etc, with solar power. I'm frequently in bear country. I would often carry an old S&W pump action 20ga broke down in a locked cabinet...

    Yard work revolver

Have you a special intuition as to when you need to carry, and when you don't ? The odds of needing a carry weapon are always low, hopefully. Never Zero. No Place is Safe. Only Safer. I'm strapped sitting in my EZ chair with my wife watching Animal Planet on the big screen. I'm not so...

    Parasites in Rabbits?

I was told to always look at the liver of rabbit. If it's grey, throw it away and wash everything. Tularemia. My Grandma had a sister killed by a cut with a knife while cleaning a rabbit. She also had a brother killed by a shotgun while climbing a fence. She must've come from a big family...

    .45 LC vs .357

Well one of the good things about revolvers is that they don't care if you use another one for a while.

Two new revolvers and two new problems.

They should cover postage. Ask for a mailing label. Tell them you don't want to ship UPS due to the strike.

Two new revolvers and two new problems.

My Blackhawk loves 2400 for making steel sing. Unique works well too. I've been wanting a Charter Arms XL, so I'm going to watch this thread to see if you get the issues resolved. That revolver doesn't have a side plate to take off. Have you contacted Charter Arms ?

What shoots 30 Carbine besides an M1 Carbine

I've got a Blackhawk in .30 Carbine. It's a tack driver. Yes, It's loud. It will get attention at an indoor range.

    Novel methods for projectile stabilization?

The problem, as I see it, with a streamer shotgun stabilized slug the 'streamer' would be forced under immense pressure into the hollow cavity of the slug. It would never deploy. Taofledermaus has tried experimental slugs like you are describing. The Diablo shape, like a air rifle pellet, is...

    .38 Special Casting questions

As mentioned, You'll want a Lee Sizing die to properly size your cast bullets. That's a great alloy, still: In my experience you are going to experience difficulties. Primarily leading. I've never had good results using TL bullets and Alox, although I'm sure plenty will say different. Only...

Kahrs: Love them, Hate them, or...?

Moon Kook-jin,( Justin Moon), owns Kahr Arms. Son of Sun Myung Moon, the founder of the Unification Church. I saw in interview long ago. He was asked why 'Kahr'. He said he wanted it to sound 'German', cause nobody was going to buy a gun from some Asian guy. I was impressed by that answer.
