Do Dillon Casefeed Motors/Switches Wear Out?

Dillon Casefeed All of the Dillon products I have are built of high quality parts, no worry there. I also turn the feeder off when loading and turn it on when the tube is almost empty. Gary

    berdan primers

I have used the RCBS tool to decap several hundred berdan brass cases, both 7.62x51 and 7.62x39. It works good but does require some patience. I have reloaded these cases with no problem. Gary

    7.62x51 problem

Re-sizing problem That's why I use a resizing die with a removable decapping pin. Good Luck Gary

I need help with winter shooting gloves

Gloves I have a pair of these, I have used them in the snow and they work well. If it was crazy cold you would need something heaver. http://www.outdoorresearch.com/en/mens/gloves/ironsight-gloves-old-498.html Gary

    Homebrew Brass preservative?

Brass I have brass that was cleaned using wet process, at least 3 years ago and it is still bright and shiny. You don't need brass preservative unless you live next to the ocean. Gary

    Chargemaster first impression..

Chargemaster It works great with 800x, it's the biggest flake powder I use. I have had mine for 2 years and love it. Gary

    Shotshell and 800X

800X I use my RCBC chargemaster combo to throw 800X for shotshell, the powder bar on the MEC does not work well with the cornflakes. I only load Buckshot and Slugs for shotgun so it work good for me. The 800X works great in the RCBS. Good Luck Gary

Which REM700 trigger to replace recall 40X

Trigger I put a Timney on my 700 and really like it, about 3.5 lbs pull and no issues after about 5 years. I would not want any less pull for tactical uses (non benchrest) Gary

Reloader 15 what is it good for???

RL-15 The M118LR round uses Lake City brass, RL-15 powder, and a Sierra 175gr bullet (not sure about the primer) designed to be shot in a bolt action rifle. Gary

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

Lee Mold buckshot cutter I use the Lee 00 Buckshot mold to cast buckshot. My old fingers don't like to use a utility knife to cut them apart. I built a device to cut them. [/IMG] [/IMG] The base is 3/4 plywood, the rest is hardwood. The blades are utility knife blades. I use a...

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

Lee Lead Tester Here is a little contraption I built to hold the microscope with the hardness tester. I had a cheap old scope mount and one scope ring, the flashlight is from Harbor Freight, the large block is two pieces of 3/4 plywood glued together. [/IMG] Gary

    Decapping before or after tumbling?

Decapping I use a dillon unversal decapping die to decap all brass. Then wet tumble with ss pins. I only see pins in the flash holes on mabye 1 in 250 cases. I then store it in plastic tubs until I need to load. Gary

    Federal shotgun shell powder.

Federal shotgun shell powder I opened a Federal 00 buck load a while back and the powder looked exactly like the 800x that I have. I may be different but looked the same. Gary

    .308 long range

308 Long Range I have shot SMK 175's at 1000 yards and I did not observe any key-holing. The 308 is a good economic round for long range. The 6.5 is great but the barrel life is poor. My approach is to shoot a ladder test and work up a good load from there. good luck Gary

    Press or Bench Priming Tool??

Press or Bench Priming Tool I use the RCBS APS loader that mounts in my Redding T7 Press. I did not have extra bench space for the bench mounted one. I have the strip loader and find it no problem to load primers into the strips. I like the loader as I can easily adjust how deep the...
