Ever had a dealer refuse to accept a transfer Buds?

Have seen one who charges an extra xfer fee for a Bud's firearm and the store claims it is because Bud's undercuts them on like items.

Which AR should I get based on the following

I would say to simply buy the least expensive AR that you can find in 5.56 caliber and go from there. And PSA is about the best route available; I bought two of their lowers for $113 total in the door. And, of course, used is always better! The beauty of the AR is that Joe Bag 'O Doughnuts...

    Looking for a pocket gun

Well, if there were ever a time with plenty of options for a pocket pistol/revolver then this is it! I prefer the Kahr PM series in 9 or .40 but I would also consider a Sig 380 if a smaller pistol were desired.

Condor recovery program beset by bullets

I think that the whole lead ingestion issue is so much bovine excrement that is nothing more than another restriction for hunting. During the 70s, more lead was emitted from LA traffic in one day than was EVER emitted from gun barrels... Studies about lead leeching from outdoor ranges shows...

    .357 for deer

I had concerns about the .357 as well but I shot a nice doe this year with a H&R Handi-Rifle in .357 and it worked with one shot through the lungs/heart. I was not overly impressed with the .140 gr Hornady LeveRevolution bullet and its terminal performance although it did do its job. Doe was at...

What have YOU used for hogs?

Bow, 30-30, 270, 50AE. All were quite effective although the arrowed hog had to followed up for a second shot due to poor shot on first attempt. Hogs ranged form 80 pounds to about 200.

    What-if : Chauchat converted to 7,62x54R

The Marines had to give up their Lewis MG for the Chauchat; what a racket the Frogs ran on that one! Given that there were many MG types available such as the Lewis or one of the Maxim types I think the Chauchat would have proven itself as another disaster for another war.

Is suppressing a .45 ACP pistol worth it?

A friend put a Silencerco Osprey on a Glock 21 and the weight of the suppressor was nearly unnoticeable. Remarkably well-made and amazingly simple to mount and unmount. Simply put, I covet the same for my .45.

    First Suppressor, what to get?

A .45 is ideal for suppression since it is easily subsonic, readily available, and cheaper than 10mm. I would opt for a Glock, HK, XD, or FN, or some other polymer given the ease of adaptation for suppression and the cost is just so much less than a 1911 platform.

When you've held your tongue for just long enough....

The best was the wine salesman at the local Kroger who was former CIA and a welding instructor. Best combo ever! :what:

police trade in's, Do you trust them

I have found police turn-ins (and used guns in general) to be fantastic deals. I have bought a Beretta 96, SW J frame, Sig 239, and a Glock 23 either used or through police turn-ins. Still have the Glock and the others went towards other trades and I received more in trade then what was paid...

    What mainstream cartridges

Oh boy, not just cartridges but entire platforms and their cartridges. Understand the popularity of the AR platform but after my military time these holds zero.squat interest for me as do the associated cartridges. The short fat magnums are another realm of yawn in my world. The concept of...

    Gransfors Bruks Axes from Sweden

GB axes are the very best without a doubt. I would also point someone in the direction of Iltis as well. Not as nice as GB but a great axe for the price.

Guns in repayment of a loan

Either take the guns he has or write it off and let it go and take your ear chewin' but hardly worth hard deliberation. By the way, based on your description, I'd let him go also. Either way, as you said, it isn't enough to miss.
