    45-90 Brass

It was 10 days. Yes a bunch of rounds down range. 250 is a good start, but you may find as you get into this a little deeper, that having more works out well, as you can plan for multiple matches in succession without having to prep and load a ton of ammo in a rush.

    45-90 Brass

Depends on how you use the rifle I suppose. But when I got home from the Desert International match this year I cleaned up 325 fired brass. 400 is good to have on hand and 500 won't hurt

Get the williams fp with the target knobs. Or put a tang sight on it, but that will require drilling and tapping.. You might also consider the One Ragged Hole sight, if they're still made.

which Winchester 22 long rifle for target

T22 is the best of the Winchester ammunition. If your local dealer has any Aquila Rifle Match, Norma TAC, or Norma Match give those a try. All 3 of those shoot well to 200 meters, IF your rifle likes it. Federal 711b can be a good ammunition as well. But again, if you're looking for serious...

    .41 mag recipes

I carried that load in my Ruger all during calving season. It was plenty accurate for coyote, and that 41 with the One Ragged hole rear sight was great for night fighting the coyotes when they would come into the corrals looking for an easy meal.

Irogois that unique load sure makes for a good practice/trigger time round in the 41.

Most commercial cast lead are too small, and that's more of the cause of leading than being "to hard". The bevel base's most commercial cast bullets have don't help keep down the leading either.

If your lead swc bullets are hard cast, 17.5 gr. of 2400 should show you some good accuracy with good velocity. The plated bullets you might want to think about using 7-8 gr. of unique. What ever powder you use with those you'll likely want to keep the velocity around 900 fps tops. 2400 works...

    Win 748 for .223

748 is the powder the cartridge was born with, and works well to this day. And it works well in a variety of other cartridges. Handy stuff to have around.

What Should I Do With This Browning Model 71?

In general, the Jamison brass I've used in a variety of cartridges are much high quality, in that the brass has a smoother look to it. It comes annealed, and rim thickness and diameter and web diameter much more consistent than Starline.

Yessir it surely is, but the Jamison is better. Looking forward to seeing how your project comes out.

What Should I Do With This Browning Model 71?

It might take some real digging to find any, but Jamison made 50-110 brass. There should be some of those floating around, might check with Providence tool and die, I believe they bought the last of the stock for their Peabody cartridges.

    30-30 vs 44 mag lever

Well I guess my experience with both the 44 and the 30-30 go back to a time when I was raising and feeding my kids game meat, mostly elk and deer. The 44 certainly has it's place, but the 30-30 will out shine it just about every time, and that's probably why that grand ol cartridge instantly...
