I use .204 Ruger on groundhogs.. 518 yards was my furthest kill. Ground hogs blow up on impact.. most times. It will surly take a coyote down. Use the 40gr bullet if you want a heavier bullet. Its not for plinking.. get a .223 for that. Unless youre going to reload the .204 Ruger. The .204...

HP bullets arent banned..you can buy them in the stores. You just cant shoot someone with them in self defense. You have to use soft points :D

Point your muzzle straight up while cocking the hammer and the spent cap will fall off free and not get caught in the cylinder. Most of the time :D Works for me

I have a Stoeger CoachGun I use for CAS and have shot it a bazillion times without a hiccup. If you shoot 00buck out of it it will make you cry :D it throws a nice pattern at 40 yards though. I think the longer barrel version is called the Uplander and would probably be better for hunting...
