    What are your favorites??

Browning Hi Power, Glock 17, CZ 75, with the 92FS coming in as an honorable mention just because it fits my hand and shoots so well despite it's flaws.

Top H&K poll- for the H&K owners and enthusiasts!

I voted other. I think the other the best they ever built was the P7M8, while only the P7M13 was listed and that was a brick, IIRC.

    Ever have a bad H&K?

Had a P7M8 which wouldn't group worth a damn. I sent it back for warranty work. It was returned with a note saying nothing wrong was found, but it suddenly grouped wonderfully well. Reminds me of a an uncle's Rolls Royce which broke an axle. The factory sent a mechanic from the UK to work on...

Mec-Gar mags for CZ 75 SP 01 (Tactical)

I only use factory mags with a few exceptions: AR15's and MecGar pistol mags (excepting 1911's and then it's Wilson's). You would b e surprised by how many manufacturers use MecGars as standard equipment. I have a handful for my CZ-75 and they work great. They don't miss a beat and compare...

    Which .357 should I get?

Both are great options, I have similar models of both, and while I rely on guns other than Smiths, Smiths are the quintessential wheelguns.

Feeding a J Frame for Concealed Carry

The 135grn Gold Dots test out so well I keep them in all of my .38 revolvers, and even keep them in my bedside .357 as they are easier to control if the GF needs it and they come about as close to bridging that magnum gap as one is going to find.

45 Colt Ruger Bisley vs 45 Colt Regular Ruger Blackhwak

I had a .45 Colt Bisley which was just a wonderful gun. Sadly, college-era finances forced me to sell it, but I keep wishing I had found a way to keep it. It's on the "replace" list.

    Which would you grab?

The Sig. Not only do I trust it more than a 1911 (and I do love 1911's, don't get me wrong), but home invasions are multi-target scenarios and the extra ammo could well come in handy.

Your favorite .22 Handgun to carry in the field all day?

I carried, and still love, an early 90's vintage Browning Buckmark, until I decided I really needed something to stop social situations more than anything while in the boondocks. Every since, I've carried a fighting gun, often a .357 loaded heavy just in case I meet a four legged critter with...

thinking about selling my Seecamp 380...

Had a Seecamp .32 and is probably the only gun I've sold which I've never regretted getting rid of. Built like a watch, but just a huge PITA to shoot. At the distances I'd be using it, I'd rather have a knife. Very possibly the most overrated pistols ever, IMHO.

    Cold range vs. Hot range

I believe a hot range is safer - see rule #1, but most people cannot get around the issue of feeling superior to others.

    Ruger Single Nine

No good reason to own one, but I want one all the same - maybe that's the best reason of all?

    Accuracy of the .380ACP

I had a Sig P230 which would one-hole anything I put through it out to 10M. It was given away in a trade as I had "too many" .380's, but I will always remember it as a laser-accurate pistol. So, from my experience, with it and other .380's, the cartridge is VERY accurate.

Does .25ACP and .32 ACP still cut it for self defense?

IMHO, .25 has always been too little, even when judged by the standards of the day when men were men, Cary Grant was straight, and everyone fell to hardball. Marketing existed even then, and small handguns sold, period. That being said, the human body hasn't changed and .32 FMJ has been fine...

Have You Given Up On a SD Caliber?

.40 One day I woke up and I just didn't own one any longer. I couldn't remember the last time I had and realized I wasn't bothered in the least by it. So, no more .40's.
