I have a Star Firestar M40 but it falls out of the date range being produced in the 90's No soft steel or issues with mine. Many many 150 grain rounds pushed thru it with a full charge of Blue Dot.

I had a pt111 it went bang every time. trigger was the worst of any handgun I owned. Not sure why everyone has so much trouble with Taurus handguns. I must have good luck having had 4 and none of them had given me trouble other then a 38 that went out of time after 1000's of heavy loads that...

I have a M40 and fired it alot never an issue. A bit heavy for the size but they are great guns.

I have a 92 SBP Italian with a 96 USA Slide. They look like they were made at the same time. no difference in color or finish and the 96 slide would have to be at least ten years younger.

Deer hunting in Michigan. Not sure how far just imagine how far you can throw an orange peel from your stand. She was trying to est it. Hit her with the 270 just behind the shoulder. A 270 at point blank range really can tear up a dear.

I had the chance to fire a 9mm subgun on full auto. I think it was a MP40 It was somewhat controllable at the at the 10 yard target I was firing at bursting about 5 rounds at a time. If I held the trigger down I think it would have been pulling off the target. I would think a larger caliber...

9mm will top the 38+p The 380 and the 38 should be very close depending on what bullet is selected.

I would think that is not an ammo issue. Best to have that gun looked at by a gunsmith.

Mine would not get thru a mag without jamming using std velocity ammo. It would cycle fine with hyper velocity ammo but the manual said not to use hyper velocity ammo.

Beretta Tomcat with the tip up barrel in 32acp works great for a lot of older folks.
