    New Press Question....

I have used a RockChucker for a little over a year. It is very smooth with plenty of leverage. The only downside is the spent primer catcher. It is not the easiest to remove without spilling primers. You also have to make sure it is not leaning back away from the ram or the spent primers will...

Which press kit do you use?

I bought my first press last year, I went with the RCBS rock chucker supreme reloading kit mainly because of word of mouth recommendations and it is built like a tank.

    here's a strange one

I have had a similar situation, but it was intentional. About 6 months ago when I bought my LCP, I went to academy looking for some .380 (I know, I know.... fat chance) They did have one box of 50 Remington .380 HP on the shelf for $30. Since it was all I could find, I decided to get it. For...

    Identify these bullets please

I picked up some 158grn win JHP today. I will use those with some Tightgroup or Universal to use up the primed cases (only 50) and treat them as SP primers. I will save the half jacketed bullets for use with heavier loads with HS-6 and SPM primers that way wont run the risk of sticking the half...

    Identify these bullets please

rc, I fixed my previous post... I missed the part about the light loads in the last sentence. I have NO intentions (and had none before I knew about the seperation possibility) to make light loads with these bullets. The 6" full lug GP100 is heavy enough to shoot full power loads and remain...

    Identify these bullets please

    Identify these bullets please

Ill keep that in mind. I doubt these cases are any older than early 60s. The box of stuff he gave me had loaded Garand stripper clips with LC52 head stamps, Several boxes of .30 LC match ammo with 1964 printed on the boxes, and 10 boxes that look like this...

    .357Mag - HS-6, Universal, Titegroup, Herco?

Thanks for all the replies, it looks like I will be loading up some test loads with HS-6 this evening. I'm going for full house loads since I just picked this gun up and want to become proficient with full power loads (being my first .357mag) before coming up with target loads.

    Identify these bullets please

Doug, I read some archived post on the same thing. I definately will not be down loading these bullets, I enjoy shooting heavier loads.

    Identify these bullets please

Thanks Jim, I did a google search for hornady SJ and found some .30 cal round nose rifle bullets that look to be of similar construction. I havnt been able to find any SJSWC, but I believe you are correct.

    .357Mag - HS-6, Universal, Titegroup, Herco?

Steve, This is the kind of info I was looking for. I wasn't really looking for a specific charge weight, more of people's experience with these powders in this cartridge as far as how clean they burn and the amount of smoke produced. I figured HS-6 would be the better choice since it was closer...

    .357Mag - HS-6, Universal, Titegroup, Herco?

I bought a GP100 6" stainless (my first 357/38 cal gun) this past weekend, so yesterday I bought my dies. I will be loading 158 grn Short Jacket SWC bullets. I have small pistol primers in both standard and magnum. The pistol powders i have on hand are: HS-6, Universal Clays, Titegroup, and...

    Identify these bullets please

Thanks for the quick responses. Since they are half jacketed, does that mean i can use jacketed load data without worrying about leading up the barrel?

    Identify these bullets please

My boss gave me some old 38spl and 357mag reloading supplies that he found in an old storage building. There were about 500 nickel plated once fired 38spl cases, all Western brand and in original boxes; 200 357mag nickel plated once fired cases, and about 500 of these bullets. The base is marked...
