Is Break-Free CLP safe on all gun finishes? Blued guns? I thought I read somewhere that is it also unsafe on wood. I am wondering how careful I would need to be around the grips on my guns. I was thinking of picking up a bottle because it was also recommended for knives.
I would like to be able to open this one with a key as well, that would be nice. I am going to research switching this one to a mechanical lock. Thanks all for the help!
I wonder if I could change it to a mechanical lock, that would be nice. I know that would probably void my warranty but the warranty is only for a year anyways.
Thank you thank you thank you preachnhunt! I tried doing what you said twice and the second time around I heard the locks release. I grabbed those car keys so fast you can't imagine. I wonder what happened and whether I should be worried about it breaking down now. It was so expensive and so...
I do have some paperwork and it is by Granite Security Products. I am going to give them a call tomorrow. It has been less than a year since getting this safe. I was worried about getting an all electronic lock and now I wish I had listened to my worries. Never again.
The original battery...
Less than a year ago I bought a gun safe. I got it from Sam's Club and it says Western Winchester on the front. It has a SecuRAM electronic combination controller.
We went on a vacation for 12 days and we just got home. I thought it would be a good idea to lock up my car keys in the safe...
Thanks!

I don't like wearing watches, so I have a G-Shock Atomic watch, my wallet, and a pill fob in one pocket. Then in the other I have change, lots of keys, and my Spyderco Ladybug knife (small but sharp!).
I am sure this has probably been discussed, but I wonder if it takes away value of an object by polishing it. Like with those Roman Coins. I have some old coins that could use some polishing, plus some old knives from around WWII. Some of the knives have rust spots and a black substance of...
I am going to polish my gun soon, just haven't gotten around to it yet. I did polish one of my knives that is SS the other day. I couldn't completely get out the scratches on the knife but it did help a lot. I tried both the Mothers and Simichrome. I liked the Mothers a little more. I...
Does anyone know how polishing actually works? Does it just clean up the metal so much it disguises the scratches? Or does it actually remove small scratches? I know deeper scratches would require sanding or something else, but I wonder how much I can do with hand polishing.
I have been...
