The progression: LCP>Ruger P95>XD45>XD40>Sig P220>Sig P226>Sig P365>Sig P229>Sig P239. P239 40SW is carried 95% of the time with a back up mag. P365 is only carried when I'm in gym shorts and running a quick local chore.
I bought a cheap suitcase as well as a cheap golf bag case with cover. Pistols go in the small 'carry-on', rifles go in the golf bag case. It can be a pain - but its better than worrying about prying eyes.
Probably 80-90% of the time I EDC a P229 40SW, the balance is a P365 9MM when I'm too lazy to strap on a belt. HD is a P226 in 40SW. Practice enough with both platforms so I don't worry about which I use in a time of need.
I have deep Tupperware covered bins for each firearm - different bins for full size/carry/compact versions of same firearm. Each bin is labeled with model number and caliber. In the bins goes: mags, extra grips, springs, and other spare parts for each model. Mags have model and caliber written...
I's Sicilian, its in my blood to sit in the back, facing the front door, entrance to the kitchen, view of the restrooms, near an escape window. When those stars don't align, sit in the back watching the door and who enters.
