Hi all... Anyone know if they make non-lead .40 bullets heavier than 155g? Only lead free bullets I can seem to find are the Barnes Tac-XP. Background is I'm looking to get a 10mm pistol but would prefer to be able to run heavier bullets through it... thanks!

I may end up giving that a go since 4064 seems to be the only powder I can find in stock (8lb jugs) online. I'm a bit worried about trying a surplus powder since I don't have a chrony.

The poll was meant to be for full speed plinking loads with FMJ bullets, but I guess I didn't specify that.

I recently bought a huge batch of M80 pulls, and I figured everyone likes polls, so... I prefer Varget, but since it's so tough to find, I'm gonna do some new workups to find a substitute, starting with Reloader 15.

You guys are making casting sound awfully tempting. What sort of speeds can you realistically push cast bullets, if you do use gas checks? 2000fps? My main thing is to shoot with full recoil, so I don't end up flinching when it's time to pull the trigger on a real animal.

Thanks for the recommendation, but I'm looking for really cheap stuff (< $0.13/bullet) exclusively for plinking. I use Hornady GMXs for hunting, so I've got that covered. :D

Thought I'd bring this back since I'm shopping for cheap 30 cal bullets as well. At this point, I might go with the mil-spec bullets sold at Wideners or possibly some Prvi Partizan 150g soft points from Grafs. Anyone have any experience with Prvi bullets? Any other suggestions for super cheap...

P.S. A 3-9x is PLENTY for up to 400 yards. I can shoot up to 300 with a good rest with my 4x fixed.
