    S&W J Frame vs Glock 42?

Obselete? What if your worst case scenario involves a bad guy that Has already made physical contact with you? When you press your Glock into his body and it won't fire because it is slightly out of battery, I bet you would appreciate some obselete technology then! Seriously, I don't care...

    Handgun width and CC Comfort

Width matters little. A tenth of an inch isn't much. Barrel length is fairly easy to conceal,to a point. The grip is the hardest part to conceal. For me weight is the most important. Don't forget to factor in ammo weight. A Glock 17 is light,.....when it's empty.Police and military usually carry...

Holster advice please! Ruger LCR or S&W airweight

Holster I agree with Rayban. After trying alot of leather,I chose a cross draw pancake. Comfortable for me both sitting and standing.Didn't have to move my cell phone. I had a custom one made with a body shield from Winthorp on ebay.Really like it.

    buckshot range for deer

T.p. 308 I live in southern MI. We have been a shotgun only zone for a very long time. My advice, dont use it at all.Whitetails are pound for pound the toughest deer type animal to kill. I have personally seen over a dozen deer that had been shot by buckshot only to run away. To drop a buck in...

    Nylon belt for concealed carry?

Belt Breaking contact, 5.11 offers different stiffness belts. I carry lightweight stuff, and really like there lightest belt.Cant remember what its called.Plastic buckle,1 layer of nylon. It can slip a little over time.I would use a stiffer one for heavier weapons. Full size require 1.75 wide...

    what 22lr

roachcore You didn't specify if you wanted a revolver or autoloader. The Ruger mk series and Browning Buckmarks are as good as it gets in there class. The Smith 22a autoloaders are good shooters for the money.Any old Highstandard is probably a keeper.Ruger single six's usually can be had used at...

    Walmart AR's and mini 14

Walmart The only proof of my statement is my own experience.A long time ago my lgs smith told me walmart guns were sometimes made cheaper than others.i asked him to back up his statement. He did so by taking a shotgun of the same model number off his shelf and opening it up next to a walmart gun...

    Walmart AR's and mini 14

I know for a fact that some gun makers produce firearms differently (cheaper) just for walmart. I believe it's because they demand such low prices from the makers, they take a few shortcuts to help with the cost. I dont know about the above mentioned manufacturers.Support your local gun shop if u...

    .357 magnum rifle for deer?

Fine for deer.MCGunners chart says it all.A 357 out of a rifle barrel is a whole new animal. It pushes a 158 g. bullet around 2100 fps.A 3030 pushes a 150 g. bullet about 2300 fps.The rifle bullet will usually perform a little better in animals.

    Foster shotgun slug for Moose?

Moose slug? Living in southern Michigan, our main whitetail season is slug gun only.(with exceptions).I've killed quite a few whitetails with a slug.Close to 400 grains, doing 1500 fps or more,i wouldnt hesitate on a moose, even though they are alot heavier than a whitetail.i probably would...
