He hasn't set a price on them. He wants me to sell them for him. So first I've got to figure out an asking price. These were my Father-in-Law's guns and they were divided up 3 ways and he got those. He doesn't have anyone to leave them to so he trying to thin them down.
I don't need any of...
My brother-in-law works to get rid of 3 handguns, I'd like to get one of them but can't decide on which one.
1) blued 4" model 58 cylinders are recessed and it has a bo-mar sight on it. Is this sight drilled and tapped??
2) 625-7 45 colt
3) 657-4 6" 41 Mag
All looks to be in great shape and...
maybe a little bigger on the overall pattern 30". Most of our shots are moving sometimes fast. Alot of deer are missed close, buck fever, too tight a pattern???
For me I'm looking for a 30"-36" pattern with 3 or 4 in that 10" plate at 50 yds. I still have a useable pattern at 20 yds too.
Look...
I guessing he's hunting with dogs is the reason for the buckshot. My test is similar to Leon, but I'm looking for 3-4 pellets in the pie plate. Then I want the rest in a nice even pattern about the size of a garbage can top. I also don't like anything smaller than 1Buck, but pattern is the key...
can't help you on the Target, but with the right ammo and a little work on the chamber, yours will shoot. Mine went from about 2" at 50 yds to under a dime with some trigger and chamber work. Rimfire Central is a great site for 22's.
if depends on what you want. Go to the rimfire sites listed above. I wanted to stay as stock looking as possible. My wife gave it to me for Christmas, I had the barrel and the trigger reworked by "Nemo". Went from about 1.5 at 50yds to where a dime will cover 5 shots. Mine shoots a little better...
Jack O'Connor, my boyhood author, always sighted his big game rifles 3" high at 100 yds. Varmint rifles 1.5" at 100 yds., this seems in line with Chuck's chart. If in my hunting area the shots were short I'd be down towards the
1.5" mark, long shots 3".
another great service report. I just sent a note with grips, didn't contact first, just sent them. They fixed them and even called a week or so later and made sure they worked and I was happy. A++++++++
anyone used the reduced recoil loads? I think Remington makes them in 30-30. With two kids, he won't have to worry out growing the gun too fast. One of the single shots are a great value for a kid. If dad likes them the contenders are great too.
