They are both 1:8 twist.....Really strange because his won't shoot the 120's as well as mine, but his will eat up the 127's while mine won't. Gonna do a test and see what twist my barrel really is. Got some Barnes 120's to try out and see if they work out.
Anyone having any luck with this Bullet in a Weatherby Vanguard S2? Trying the Superformance Powder as indicated by Barnes as being the most Accurate Powder, but in my Rifle it is not. It shoots great in my Buddies Remington 700 though. I thought maybe it was the Scope Mounts, Scope, Torque...
Has anyone had any problems with them? I just had the Part where the knob screws in, bust through the threads and strip itself out.....Kind of pissed, sending it back obviously, don't know if I should just get my money back and go the RCBS Neck Sizer.
Anybody see information on this in 7mm Weatherby. .486 Ballistic Coefficient looks mighty fine, now if they (Barnes) would just upgrade the load data. That beats the tar off .408 that the 150 TSX is showing.
azemon, I reload my 7mm Weatherby on an on C and H "H" style press. Weight each charge since it is precision shooting that I am looking for. You will never get close to the lands and Grooves on a Weatherby so play with overall length a little. I am at 68.5Grains of H4350 with a 150 gr Barnes...
Just picked up a M1A, couldn't help myself. Anyways, I ran across some 150 Gr FMJBT Hornady Projectiles that I have. I have 8 pounds of IMR 4895 and want to know if there is a load or if these bullets are too light to shoot out of the M1A. I found some info, but it was for the Nosler E Tip...
Isn't that a Beautiful thing. I just bought an M1A today and have a bunch of Projectiles and thought I remembered buying an 8 pounder of 4895 way back when, Just in case. Well today was that just in case. Now to look up a load for some 150 gr FMJBT Hornady in the .308 casing....
Last time I ordered through PV, it was 50 lbs or powder under one HazMat. Don't know the breakdown with Powder and Primers because those are separate orders for me. Heard all kinds of horror stories and rumors that you couldn't order more than 32 lbs at a time. Glad I don't buy into the rumor...
f there was a note on the box from Cusoms/ICE/Postmaster that said they inspected your parcel, then it was tampered with. If there is no such note, then your parcel was not tampered with by any so-call Government Agency. In my experience. I have noticed the loose tops and stuff and did the...
I don't want to speak for Gamestalker, but I will. More information is needed. 2 3/4" 1 1/2 oz Lead for Turkey or 3" 1 1/4 oz Steel for Duck. Can you get one powder to load both. Yes, but the difference between the two loads can be +- 10. I don't have my Lymans in front of me now, but...
CCI=Win209 just in case you want to argue that there is no info for the CCI primer. Don't expect the same results with the CCI as with the Rem209P which is less than, or the Fed 209A with is hotter.
I don't know why they did not push the 1 oz load a little hotter with a pressure only at 9500...
You can always load under the max listed for shotguns. That part is just like rifle and pistol reloading. If you want to spend time on the patterning board you can. Different wads work in patterning just like different bullets shoot different. In loading Turkey shells you can do so just...
