    AR15 Double Fire/ Slam Firing

I'm comparing the disconnector with the one inside an unfired lower I have, and that one has sharp square edges. This one in suspect is in fact all worn along the front edge that catches the nose, and even more heavily along one side versus the other. It wasn't obvious at first, but adelbridge's...

What would I be looking for there?

    AR15 Double Fire/ Slam Firing

What's an LPK? I didn't know much about the triggers on these, so watched a few videos etc, and took mine apart. Photos below. All the edges look solid, and springs are strong. Disconnector looks good, as does it's spring (not sure how long it should be though). I did the test for holding...

    AR15 Double Fire/ Slam Firing

I have an Olympic lower that I don't know its origins. I bought this Franken build a while ago, and it ran ok so far. The searches I've done on slam fires tell of the same test for releasing the hammer, holding the trigger and resetting the hammer, then letting trigger go. I've done that test...

M14/M1a Bolt Locking Up (won't cycle)

Yes, Fulton did it 10 years ago. They built a NM onto a Polytech receiver. I'm the second owner. It just started acting funky; when I fire it some rounds eject, and then one will fire but fail to extract and just be stuck. It's game over at that point until I get it into a vice again and yank...

M14/M1a Bolt Locking Up (won't cycle)

Yeah, I did. It's happening when the bolt starts to rotate as it moves back. I'm wondering if the roller could be the issue as its locking up right when the roller should rotate up into the corresponding groove on the oprod.

M14/M1a Bolt Locking Up (won't cycle)

Thanks biged, but that's not what my rifle's issue is. It won't cycle whether the trigger group is in it or not. Its out of the stock right now, and when I pull the charge handle it binds at about .25" back.

M14/M1a Bolt Locking Up (won't cycle)

I have very little experience with my M14 (Fulton/Polytech build), so I haven't a clue how to address what my bolt it doing. Basically it gets stuck randomly both with and without rounds in the chamber; but not everytime. When it happens its when I pull the charging handle, it moves back about a...

Help with Stock for Remy 700's

I have an SPS Varmint, and I bought a stock from an SPS Tactical thinking I could just swap them out. Well, the Varmint has a blind mag, and the Tactical stock has a big old cutout for the external mag. Is there a way to use this, or is it just my new door proper-upper?

Cool optics; just read a review about it. What's your experience with it been?

    CMP M1 Garand Service Grade

I'm trying to figure out if I want one; I like the "idea" of them, and I'm familiar with the platform, but can I ask an honest question? Is there something the M1 has over my Fulton Armory M14? Do I really need to get into another caliber; you know what I'm asking, right? Can someone who has...

    CMP M1 Garand Service Grade

Is there a way to tell the difference between the different grades after the fact. I have a buddy who got a CMP from an auction that was advertised as "Special Grade" for $900. It does have a new looking barrel, and the stock has the cartouche, etc. But after they're out in the world is there...

$650, what scope would you get for hunting big game?

Nobody mentioned Falcon Menace5 yet? Mine was $395 shipped, and is unbelievable quality for the price. If you want to get serious about scopes (and $650 is getting serious) check out the reviews that were done on many top of the line scopes here: http://www.snipercentral.com/menace4.htm...

    922r compliance on wasr 10

Discussions about this have unfolded to the tune of 20+ pages here and on other forums (falfiles.com for instance), so there are certainly no shortage of "opinions" about what this law means to rifle owners. In the real world the law has only been used to prosecute a handful of individuals thus...
