I live in Marshall Co, AL too and have had one run in with an "organized group" of hispanics. I keep the doors locked, the wife doesn't go anywhere she doesn't have to alone, and we carry at all times. It's sad that something like this is going on around here :(

I live in Alabama and I'm going to be on vacation up in Tenn. for the next few days. If I were to find a gun at a pawn shop, gun store, or gun show.. would I be able to buy it and bring it home to Alabama or would I have to have it transferred to my FFL here in AL?

I just checked the number again. It is pencil written 159510, I've also attached a pic of the number. The number inside the crane is 42579 in both places. That is strange about the grip number being odd.

I took the stocks off just now and looked for the ser# on them, the grip has the number 159510 written on them. It's strange that someone had changed the grips out on this old boy.

I bought myself one of the Bushmaster Predator rifles for Christmas and so far I REALLY like it. I've only ran about 200rds or so thru it, but it hasn't had any failures at all and is showing itself to be really accurate.

I live about 45 mins south of Huntsville and work just outside of Huntsville. It's a very gun friendly area and Larry's is one of my favorite places to shop. I also enjoy their indoor range.

I really love the 240gr XTP over 24gr of H110. That's a time proven load that really packs some punch.

If I ever came into the position of having to actually use my handgun to defeat an attack.. the LAST thing I would worry about is my ammo choice and how it would stand up in court. There are very few reasonable people that would convict me in a court of law if I used my handgun in self defense...

I'm using a couple of different handloads. This past session was with a 280gr WFN GC bullet, Starline cases, 22gr of H110, and WLP primers. This has been a pretty good load in the gun. My other "lighter" load I shoot in it is a 270gr Keith style Leadhead over a pretty stout charge of W231...
