I had a .45-70 1895G that I considered extending the mag to the end of the barrel. I too finally decided that for one more round it wasn't worth it. Besides I always carried it with 5 of the Buffalo Bore 500gr FMJ. Never felt the need for more than 2500gr's of lead in a gun. Greebe
