    CZ PCR and Sig 2022

I prefer metal over plastic any day. However, I got to spend some time with a CZ SP01, Sig P6, and Sig 2022 over the weekend. The 2022 had a far superior trigger (i.e., extremely smooth and consistent with no grit or creep) with the P6 coming in between the 2022 and SP01.

    Slim 9mm

You may want to look at the STI LS. A bit heavy, but very slim. http://www.stiguns.com/guns/ls/ls.html Their Rogue is also an option. Slim and light. But pricey. http://www.stiguns.com/guns/Rogue/Rogue.html I haven't shot either of them, but they seem to be well regarded (as is STI).

My Commander is back from the Smith

Good call, Earl! I understand the purpose of a beavertail, but at some point they begin look kind of obnoxious. So Hinton, is that a custom beavertail? If not, what brand is it? I want that combination of true commander hammer and short beavertail on a full-size someday.

My Commander is back from the Smith

Perfect! Is it a Combat Commander, or Lightweight Commander? You will have to let us know how it shoots...

How much is a Russian military makarov worth?

Not to go too far off tangent, but with all due respect, Gunbroker is NOT a good sanity check for prices. Telemarketers and spammers do what they do because there always seem to be a stream of people willing to play into their game. Kinda the same with Gunbroker. I have no idea why someone...

New Baby... Colt MKIV Series 70 "Extreme Combat"

Yeah, and its not even polymer! Beautiful to the point of being inspirational. Other than having some Hogue horizontal palm swell grips, you may very well have built my dream gun, feature for feature!

Colt Combat Commander in 9mm? (Century import from Israel)

Wow--you even posted pics--thanks! At risk of getting off topic, where did you get them?

    Latest pin gun

Very nice--its on my short list. Slightly off topic, but what is the difference between "Para USA" and "Para Ordnance"? (seem to be the same company)

    Romanian Tokarev safety removal.

You are all missing the most obvious solution: duct tape. :)

My heart says CZ but my brain says Sig

Turbo put it best--the P01 disappears into your hand. Having shot both of dad's P01 and P229, the P01 definitely felt better. I can't say which one shot better, but the grip on the P229 just felt too wide. In contrast, the P01 had the right curves in the right places...disappearing into my hand.

CZ82 moves up to my #2 slot

Christcorp, you and I are thinking exactly alike on preference for rubber grips. I, too, was thinking about toying with some of that liquid tool handle rubber--so let us all know how it works out if you try it. My dream is that someone will make a fully knurled and molded rubber CZ82 grip...

For DA/SA CZ 75B cocked and locked v. decocked

Just like it takes a certain degree of "training" to drive a car safely, obviously firearms require training to operate safely. But it seems to me that disregarding certain safety features (such as a decocker) is kind of like saying you don't need a seat belt because you can avoid accidents...

    Mall Ninja?

Pretending to be a war hero and/or survivor makes you scum, but not necessarily a mall ninja. I take them to be anyone without any military or law enforcement connection who feels the need to have tactical/spec ops/special forces gear/accessories/attachments. A few gadgets here and...

How mall ninja-ee can you get?

I don't mind the gun's looks so much. But the name choice does scream "hackneyed". I don't blame the winner, but rather Wilson. I picture their marketing department as something right out of The Office. I am dumbfounded that this is the best they could come up with. Why not just go...

    Sexy CZ97

Haven't shot one...but I think it is the best looking gun in CZ's lineup. Too bad it doesn't come in 9mm!
