I don't pop a cap before I load. My chambers aren't soaked with oil. I've never used a pick on a nipple either. If you're depending on a 209 to burn through oil you left in a chamber that's your fault not the cap.

There was some experimentation in .40 caliber but only five were made. Other than that it only came in .36 caliber.

I've had seven guns come to my FFL at the same time. Nothing was said. He only charged me the same fee he charged for a single gun. It's been a few years since I bought that many at once.

Truth! If a standard percussion cap won't ignite your charge you did something wrong or there's something wrong with your gun.

I don't really have a range. I can't put up anything permanent because I shoot in a hayfield right across the road from the house that doesn't belong to me but I can go out to about 400 yards. I can't shoot in the backyard because there's cows on three sides. That kinda sucks but it is what it is.

No, he didn't use dimes but if he had he would have had to pack them in a shell with some kind of patching since dimes are close to 12 gauge size and he used a Whitney 10 gauge which is about .070 bigger than a 12 gauge and doesn't appear to be choked.
