    AR Scope Mounts

I guess a lot of us (most of us?) have more control over where we place out noses. The "preferred" placement of a scope on an AR is for the eyepiece to be just about flush with the rear of the charging handle. I don't have any problems with eye relief, mounting my scopes that way...

    Does anyone know Huntertown Arms?

The Guardian 22 is rated for .22 mag, .17, and f.a. I guess I might swap the aluminum for stainless, if I have problems with the aluminum baffles. I clean them with Butch's or Hoppe's, using a wire brush, then tumble them in cc treated with Hoppe's for a few hours.

    Does anyone know Huntertown Arms?

I'm still using the aluminum baffles with my Guardian 22. Why did you change to stainless? I haven't had any real problems cleaning the aluminum. Is there some reason other than easier cleaning?

    AR Scope Mounts

Best deal going right now on a scope/mount combo for ARs is the Bushnell AR Optics Series @ Amazon. Buy one of the Bushnell scopes and get an excellent Millet mount that doesn't require rings free. Here's my AR with the 3x9 mounted. Also have the 4.5-18. Great scopes for the money. Love...

First semi-auto centerfire: AR-15 vs .308 semi auto

<...> I skimmed enough to feel confident in recommending an AR to the OP. There are plenty of fine ARs that can be had for around $800. One of the best buys around was/is the Windham Weaponry Sight Ready Carbine. JoeBob was selling them for $749, with free shipping. I also like shooting...

    44mag riffle or blkout

I like .300 Blackout for several reasons. As the OP mentioned, brass is pretty easy to acquire. The conversion only requires changing barrels on an AR. The .300 Blackout has about the same recoil as a 5.56, which is to say, negligible recoil. You have the option of loading pretty fast 110gr...

    Threaded barrel by GEMTECH.

Pretty sure that my RRA bull barrel measures .920". I'm using LWD threaded barrels on my Glocks; Ruger factory threaded barrel for my .22 pistol, and the gunsmith's threading on my 10-22. Haven't had any problems with concentricity. The RRA bull barrel is the only one of my AR barrels...

    Ar-15 carbine scope opinions.

Part # is DT00031. Seems like a well-made mount. I've done business with Primary Arms...recently bought a WMD barrel from them...just never checked out their mounts. The thing I like about the Millet mount is that it was free. ;)

    Ar-15 carbine scope opinions.

Problem with any thread like this is that you're going to get eleventy-zillion different recommendations. I recently bought the 3x9x40 Bushnell AR Series and love it. Good, clear scope. Yesterday, I received the same scope in 4.5-18, which is better for me for shooting groups or doing...

    Threaded barrel by GEMTECH.

My smith charged me $50 to cut off and thread a 10-22 barrel. I'm sure Gemtech wasn't much more than that. ;) Really nice job! That thread protector is really nice...never have seen one that large, in order to match the o.d. of a bull barrel. I have a RRA bull barrel AR upper, but don't...

LGS only including (2) magazines with Gen 4 Glocks

I'm amused at home many times in a thread one has to read that Gen 4 Glocks come with 3 mags, before the point is made??

    Which way conversion Glock 20/21?

See large letters in post #7!!!

    Glock trijicon night sights $110

Anybody with the appropriate sight pusher can install a Glock rear sight. Pretty sure that Trijicon lamps' warranty is for 12 years. I wouldn't discourage the OP from getting the Trijicons locally; however, it's pretty hard to beat the deal that Glock/Smyrna offers @ $57, with their paying...

Now I have my ccw... Do I carry with a round chambered?

Since the OP already has all the answers, I'm befuddled as to why he started this thread! I just don't see any point in trying to carry on a cogent dialogue with somebody with such misplaced idea of gun safety. ;)

Adjustable sights? Not really worth while on this pistol

Low and left is a pretty common indicator of bad trigger control, especially for right-handed shooters. Newbie Glock shooters are particularly prone to low-and-left, until they figure out the Glock trigger.
