What's going on with my die?

I can't tell from your original post whether you cleaned the expander ball when you took the die apart. If not, try that and see if it makes a difference. What caliber are you sizing?

    Mystery Chinese Arisaka?

Joep0331, I think it's been established that your rifle is a training rifle. I don't know who made it or when, but it's not based on a T99. It's based on a T38. It has the T38 floorplate release button and two gas vent holes in the receiver ring rather than one as a T99 would have. It's...

    Mosin Nagant

If you want to reduce the felt recoil from a M-N, just gain weight! :p Seriously, if you place the butt properly in the hollow of your shoulder, you shouldn't be hurt by a M-N. A .458 Win Mag, maybe, but not a M-N. I always carry a GI jointed cleaning rod, some appropriate size patches, and a...

    Winter 2011 centerfire rifle match

Well, I didn't get it done. I finally scoped one of my rifles, but I haven't finished sighting it in. So I'll use this target for practicing. I'll still try it with iron sights, too!

    Rifle in trunk

There are some states that require rifles being carried in cars to be locked in hard cases. Off hand I don't recall where they are, but there are more than a few of them. I think Illinois is one. A little legal research would be in order before you head out across the country. I don't think a...

AK47, Assault Rifle or Battle Rifle?

These classifications are so full of exceptions that they're useless. The M2 carbine is neither an assault rifle nor a battle rifle. In fact, it's a stretch to call it a rifle. It was intended to substitute for a pistol. I'd call it a semi-auto pistol with a long barrel and a shoulder stock...

    WWI Gun Sale...HELP! 1917, Mauser,Mosin Nagant, Enfield

Which is worth more between the P14 and the M1917 depends largely on where you are. In the US, the 1917 will be worth more. Around here, they're going for ~$650 now. That's because we like .30-06 here. In the rest of the world, there are many places where people prefer the .303. Anyway, even if...

    Desirability Question

For M1 Garands, Springfield Armory is the only manufacturer who made them the whole time they were in production. Winchester made them during WWII, but not later. Harrington & Richardson and International Harvester made them during the Korean War (or whatever you want to call that activity), but...

The Best Miltary Sniper rifle (for it's time)

If they had been on the list, I'd have voted for either the 03A4 or the M-1D. The Mosin Nagant was outstanding, though.

New K31 I had to show off...

I have used Prvi brass, but not yet in 7.5x55. I've had good results with it in 6.5x50SR and 7.7x58. I use mostly IMR 4064, but I just read that Reloader 17 is the closest to matching the powder in GP11. Don't think I'll switch just yet, though. Oh, yeah -- great looking K31!

    Springfield 1903 Safety?

Geez, I had a National Ordnance M-1. It was beautiful. New commercial barrel, nice striped wood, the works. But the *^%# thing would not cycle properly. Finally traded it for a 1903 Mark I, then acquired a Winchester M-1.

New K31 I had to show off...

When reloading for the K-31, carefully check overall length. You'll have to seat most bullets deeper than the GP11 surplus ammo because the K-31 is throated for the ogive of the GP11 bullet. With other bullets, if you load to GP11 length, you'll be hitting the lands!
