Wally, Charter said that the crane was adjusted. The symptom was that the cylinder release latch would stick sometimes and not return to battery. The issue was resolved and the Pitbull has worked flawlessly for a hundred rounds since.

Taurus 9mm snubbie. Back to the factory twice; would not fire more that twice per cylinder. Factory "fixed" it a third time, and it was sold to someone else. Back to the factory; still wouldn't fire more than twice per cylinder. I now have a great Charter 9mm Pit Bull.

She shoots better and better as the trigger smooths out. Very little recoil. I would not want to stand in front of me at 25'. I shoot a Colt DS II better, and my 442 and LCR, but another 100 rounds and the Charter will be right in the middle of the pack. Incidently, I had a Taurus 9mm that...
Over the years I've owned several Charters. In the 60's a brace of snubbies. In the early 2000's a Bulldog. Not impressive at all. Today I shot my new Pit Bull. The trigger needs a lot of break in, but other than that a real surprise. Well fitted and finished, and the 9mm cases ejected...
Several months ago I was able to purchase a DS II that was new in the box for a pretty stiff price, $800. I have been shooting it regularly and carry it often. I have no regrets for the price or the using of it. A great gun.

After two months at the Taurus repair shop, my 905 was returned, and I shot it today. I am sorry to say that two of the first cylinder load failed to ignite, and three of the second cylinder load failed to ignite. I finally was able to fire a complete cylinder load before I encountered more...
I have a number of .357 snubbies; sp 101, gp 100, J frames, 65 and 66. Great to hold, great to shoot. But, .357 in them instead of +Ps? Why? Noise, recoil with loss of accuracy for little or no benefit over the .38 special of +P.

RW, I made the mistake of buying a 9mm Taurus 905. It would fire one or two rounds per cylinder. It shot one foot high at 8 yards. When it was returned, the two rounds that I did get it to fire were dead on, but it still wouldn't fire and then locked up so that the cylinder wouldn't go in or...
Six weeks ago I bought a brand new in the box never fired 1998 Colt DS II for $800 with all the tags and never looked back. It's now been shot about 200 times and goes outside with me in a Safariland paddle holster. Happy to go out and happy to be shot so much so that it puts a lot in the...
DAdams, I have one of those puppies and it certainly is no slouch. I have ordered a set of the old factory grips for the GP 100 fixed site and stag inserts, but I do carry it under a jacket in a Simply rugged, tan. Makes me a real dude.
