Anybody Fancy the S&W Model 10?

The other day, while browsing the internet, I came across something that I didn't expect to catch my eye. Let me start off by saying that I have a love for semi automatic pistols. The firing, extracting, ejecting, feeding, and firing sequence of a well tuned pistol, for me, is my idea of...

    Best drop in ar15 trigger?

I have a Geissele SSA-E in my AR 15 and a Hi Speed National Match in my AR 10. They work.

Sig 229 Carry model vs Standard 229

I ordered the P229 carry SAS version in 40. It's supposed to have rounded corners for less snagging (I guess?) and the SRT. The short reset trigger is a must, in my opinion, and I install them in all my SIGs as soon as I get them. I don't know why they're not standard on all SIG Sauer pistols...

Sig 229 Carry model vs Standard 229

It is interesting how two guns that seem to be the same dimensionally, can feel completely different while carrying. I'm going to pick the gun up from my FFL on Friday and I will report back on how it shoots and feels.

Who Says the 16 is Dead?

I would like to say the 16 gauge isn't dead, but I think it is at least in my area. I had the chance to buy a 16 gauge shotshell reloader, so that was the go ahead to buy the gun, because at least I'd always have ammo to feed it. I checked the local and big box gun shop in town and after looking...

    Pump shotgun decision

I second that. Benelli, Mossberg, Browning, and Remington (wingmaster) are all good to go, from my first hand experience. I can't comment on the Winchester SXP because I've never shot one, but lots of people buy them. I would stay away from the 870 express, because I have seen them jam with...

    Pump shotgun decision

Benelli's pump shotguns are NOT as high quality as their semi autos and that's a fact. Benelli novas are cheap because they're built inexpensively. The design seems good and cycles shells reliably from what I've seen. They have a parkerized finish, like an 870 express, and as a result all the...

Sig 229 Carry model vs Standard 229

If I had the choice I would have gone for the 9mm as well. I really think the p226/p229 pistols are best suited to the 9mm chambering. They were designed around that caliber, and in my experience, function absolutely flawlessly. It seems as though they were merely adapted to the 40 S&W and 357...

Sig 229 Carry model vs Standard 229

I am wondering the same things as you. I figured for the price I would take a chance on it, and ordered the SAS model with the SRT. The only thing I can confirm about it is that a SIG customer service rep told me that standard 229 slides and 22 conversion kit will fit it.

What's the worst "money pit" gun?

For me, I've spent more money upgrading my m4 style ar 15 than any other gun. I probably spent half the value of the gun changing out parts for what I wanted to begin with. If I could have built one from the start, I would have.

Is It Legal To Loan Gun To Someone In State?

Yes to both, if you live in a free state.

A gun so miserable to shoot, you want it anyway?

I was reading a thread recently, titled something like "worst trigger pull you've ever experienced" or something like that. People kept mentioning the Polish Radom 64, and it's 25 pound DA trigger pull. And I thought, "I have to have one of those!" I shot it for the first time yesterday, and the...

Thoughts on a British .303 Enfield

Does it have the full military stock or has it been sporterized? If it is super clean it might be possible that it was reblued. Pictures would be a lot of help. For $230 I'd probably take a chance on it. If it turns out to not be worth much, at least you own the fastest bolt action ever made and...
