This used to be my least favorite gun. Now it is my all time favorite.
It is a 75 Compact .40. The sights are all black low profile LPA. The are too thin vertically so I will change them with fixed PT MMC sights. The grips are the thin aluminum from ghoastholster sold by Angus.
The...
SP01, ~1000 rounds, no problems.
75 Compact .40, ~1000 rounds, no problems.
97B, ~2000 rounds, no problems with ball ammo. HP FTF. After ramp job no problems with HP.
The polycoat finish can easily be scratched on all three.
With mine I changed the hammer spring to 26#, Recoil spring to 18#, and installed a 1911 tungsten reverse guide rod plug plus a stainless guide rod. Shoot realy flat and comfortable now. It weighs 41 oz now.:)
I just shot a beretta 96 and it was snappier than the CZ 75 Compact 40. The CZ its nice now with hogue rap around grip and 24# main spring. Felt recoil with the grip now is about the same as the M&P.
I my self have a CZ 75 Compact .40. At first it was very snappy. Changed the main spring to 24# and it is very nice now.
I shot a m&p40 and it did have less recoil than the CZ even after the mod. But the CZ shot more accurately and to my surprise faster on target.
Glock 22 was ok.
HK...
I forgot to include sig. I shot a 226 in 9mm and it seemed to have more flip than my own HK USP in 9. That is why I did not include sig.
I shot a m&p40 and it was realy soft. Also babey eagle in 40 had low recoil too.
So lets add:
Walther P99
Sig 239
Sig 226
Babey Eagle
I forgot to add: two gun magazines tested it and they were getting sub 2" @ 25 yards with the stock gritty trigger. After dry firing a lot or a trigger job then I am sure you can get about 1" at 25 yard sand bag rested.
I Also have SP01 with ambi manual safety. The trigger needs to be dry fired a lot. With a snap cap I dry fired it like 1000 times and now the trigger is great. The accuracy is better than my HKUSP9f, HKp7M8, SIG 232. It is really easy to shoot accurately. It is the least expensive handgun I...
I just came from the range where I rented an old M&P40. First the right side slide stop had broken off the front sight paint had come off.
The good:
Muzzle flip and felt recoil was a bit lower than Glock 22.
Shorter reset than my stock CZ 97B, Sp01, HK USP, but longer than 1911.
I had...

I am looking at a soft .40 S&W handgun that shoots soft and flat under. I narrowed it to the M&P, CZ 75B Compact or even Beretta PX4. They are all about the same price range.
M&P - Shorter reset, lighter weight, more after market products, grip is good but not as good as CZ. Slightly lower...
