Ruger M77 .220 Swift needs a new barrel

I think thatquote from McGowen is for the barrel only, not installation. Base installation starts at $205, barrel pre-fits start at $315 and there is a note at the end, if you go custom barrel, that installation is not included.

    remington 700 trigger issues?

This was probably the most publicized gun related recall ever. 60 Minutes, gun magazines, newspaper article after article, etc. TV, radio, etc.

    remington 700 trigger issues?

This has been reported on for years and years, with Remington doing recalls going back for some time. I find it hard to imagine that anyone who handles rifles, especially a 700, doesn't know about this.

Should this Ruger M77 be sent in for a recall?

That specific issue doesn't require sending in to Ruger. Contact Ruger and they'll send a new locking screw. Very simple to install.

Tikka T3X High Desert Rifle Works upgrade

How do you like the laminated stock? I've been looking at that specific rifle and trying to chose between the laminated and regular black synthetic. I can't find a laminated in store to check the fit and feel. Do you think the laminated will hold up well in the field?

What's the attraction to cheap rifles

I have no problems with people buying "cheap" rifles. With modern designs and manufacturing techniques, most are very accurate and functional. Not everyone can afford $1000+. I don't understand when someone buys a budget rifle, then starts a post about what replacement stock ($300-$800)...

    270w vs 6.5 creedmor

not much practical differences between 308, 270 and 6.5. If those two are your only choices I'd go with the 6.5. less recoil, usually very accurate
