    Blaser bolt rifles ?

I know I'm over the pond, but I not long sold my R93 Offroad in .243. I paid £1150 for it, and sold it for the same a year later, mind you it was a few years old, but little shot example. The scope mount was bought new at nearly £400, and sold for £300. I have to say it was without doubt the...

Urgent: Cleaning Rod Stuck in Bore.

I'm just amazed that nobody suggested a slide hammer to "pull" the stuck rod out :banghead: That would have been my first line of attack. Neil. :)

    Lilah And Oralia.......

Well done Dave, nothing beats the feeling of helping a new shooter kill some clays. Neil. :)

Hardest kicking gun you've ever shot?

I already am, these days although I can still use the SxS 12 it is with 2 3/4 shells only, and not many of them. 95% of my shotgunning is now done with a 6 1/4 lb O/U 28 bore, and even then I use 16 or 21 gram loads for clays (once or twice a year), and not too many of them. I can still cope...

Hardest kicking gun you've ever shot?

An old and very lightly built Beretta 12 g single shot, weighed about 4 or 5 lb. I used it for rabbits with little Eley 2 inch cartridges, and it was great fun. But it had a 3 inch chamber, and I just had to try them, never again 15 years later and I still shudder when I think of it, and will...

    Shooting makeshift brick wall (video)

You don't use a .22lr do you  At least your U tube name is appropriate Danielwasmyname Neil. :)

How many 12ga proponets have actually shot a 20ga? Blind Poll

I started with a 12, then moved to a 20, went back to 12 for clays because of ammo costs. Now I shoot few clays I'm using a 28 it does all I need except for anything needing non toxic shot, mainly because I don't load, and nobody stocks non toxic in 28 over here. Neil. :)

    28 gauge 3 inch?

I seem to remember in the dim distant past an English maker doing one, but I have never heard of, or seen 3 inch 28 bore ammo. Like many things, some just don't stand the test of time. I shoot a 28 bore a lot these days, and for game 21 gram loads are just about perfect, negligible recoil and...

Removing choke by cutting the barrel

Ream it out a little at a time, I don't recommend this for a novice, but.... Find a piece of straight dowel that fits down the bore with just a little room to spare. Cut a slot down the centre of the dowel about 3 or 4 inches deep, insert the end of a piece of fine wet & dry paper. Wrap the...

My 870 Marine Headache, Part II

Why not just get it stripped and re-plated if it bothers you, and yes I know you shouldn't need to. In your place I would take the new barrel offered, and have it nickelled, outside only. Nickel has no place inside a barrel, it is not hard enough. Neil. :)

    Shotgun Scopes

I can vouch for the Nikon 2-7x32 shotgun scope, I have one on a CZ American in .22lr and love it. Nothing fancy, it just works well in all conditions, even in very low light levels, the reticle is also very clear, even against dark backgrounds. It is also far better in most conditions then the...

    CZ 12 bore SxS

No, all the top lever does is open the action and reset the auto safe. The cocking is done by normal cocking levers through the action, and operated by the fore end iron as you open the barrels, shutting them sets the ejectors. Neil. :)

    CZ 12 bore SxS

Well a trip to a clay shoot proved that it is a keeper  And on the way home I dropped in on the shop I bought it from, I asked how I should go about tightening the lock up, the reply was "put the kettle on". 30 minutes later the tea was drunk and the lock up was as new :D I have decided...

    CZ 12 bore SxS

No, but it has disc set strikers, makes firing pin replacement easy :D Seems to shoot very well, and is a joy to swing onto a target, particularly as they all seem to die. And yes it is a true side lock, it also has proper chopper lump barrels, which was a pleasant surprise. Neil. :)

    Question For British Shotgunners

Time to resume the nightmares then :neener: Largest shot allowed on a shotgun certificate in the UK is SSG, 9 ball loads, so about the same as your buckshot. Neil. :)
