Which recoil reducer works better, the mercury filled or the weighted? What are the pros and cons of each?
Specifically I am asking about the ones that slide into the stock.
Trying to tame recoil on a A5 light 12.

Currently the holster is a cheap uncle Mike's that I cut to fit the optics.
I have a nice leather full flap holster that I intend to have modified.

I have a s&w 648 coming. I have a red dot for it. Swampfox Kingslayer. What I can't find is a OWB holster that's built for a 6 inch barreled revolver with a red dot.
The only thing I found was a competition rig from Comp-tec called the International. It looks good but I am looking for a trail...
I have doubts about the expanding skirt.
1 Can it expand enough to bridge the difference between chamber diameter and barrel diameter?

Savage model 67E pump in 12ga. Bought it from Gruntz Brothers Sporting Goods in Big Rapids MI after I graduated college in 1982. Only gun I owned for several years, and yes I still have it.

Stopped by at a friend's shop.
He has an original S&W second model from WW2. Full British proofs, in 455 Webly. Condition is very good, it has the broad arrow marks for British surplus and the cylender has not been milled down for 45ACP.
IIRC the price was less than $800.

Read Evan Marshall's work. He did extensive research on actual shootings. His collection of bullets and autopsy reports was massive.
He developed what he called the one shot stop probability score. Last I knew the 32 was no where near the top.

When I was a college kid I really wanted a H&R 999 22lr.
Fast forward too many years and a minty H&R shows up in the local dealers case. Price was high but I thought I would look.
Turns out it was not a 999. It is a 777. Built to order by H&R in 1938. All kinds of custom features and hand...
