    Select Grade Star Model BM

A few days ago a friend mentioned some standard grade Star Model BM’s, and that got my interest up enough to go shopping and find some in Select condition. I found some nice ones and darn if I didn’t bite for one. My new/old 9mm Star Model BM arrived from Aim Surplus yesterday and I’m very...

    New Browning Hi Power Forum

Thanks for the comments, guys. And you're very correct about the Proboards software being tough to deal with. I've passed on the names of the guys who are having problems getting on to our software guy and we'll try to get it rectified. Sorry for the trouble. JayPee

Here: http://www.dpmsinc.com/Geissele-2-Stage-G2S-Trigger_p_2679.html. They went out of stock a couple of...

My two cents on the .25 Auto after being shot by one.

I once made a decision not to use pistols without firing pin safeties for carry - only for recreation. I did that just because of experiences like yours. Thank you for your story. It will make an already safe person even safer.

    arthritis and the brand

O.P., I'm fighting the same problem. I have severe osteoarthritis in my hands with muscle mass loss and other problems caused by ulnar nerve damage. I have been forced to go from the .45 to the .40 to the 9mm. Fearing I might not be able to handle the 9mm much longer, I found two solutions to my...

Would You Trust Your Life With A .380?

Not unless I get forced into it, and I very well may. I recently bought a Turkish Zenith MC14 .380 pistol, which is very similar to the old Browning BDA. It is a DA/SA and it holds 13+1 rounds. I bought it because my hands are severely arthritic and my days of handling the recoil of a 9mm...

The Hi Power Walking Trigger Axis Pin

Yes the roll pin was used in military service and was even used by the factory for a time long ago. The military armorers usually said heck with finesse and just peened the solid pins in place, but that causes problems in removing it later on. We have a contributor on another forum who bought a...

The Hi Power Walking Trigger Axis Pin

The intent is not to glue the pin back in, but to reduce the circumference of the hole back to factory specs so that the tight squeeze fit is restored between the pin and the right side hole. The paint/polish/adhesive solution works well, it just comes across as a little cheesy

The Hi Power Walking Trigger Axis Pin

Lots of owners of the various Hi Power pistols, the Browning, FEG, and FM Hi powers have run into the problem of the trigger axis pin walking out the side of the gun during firing. Once it starts this, tapping it back in only lasts for a few shots before it starts to walk again. So here is an...

So what's really the problem with S&W's AR Sporter?

MIL-DOT, if you ever get into a fire fight so intense and prolonged that any discernible difference in performance or reliability between your $600 Smith and Wesson and my $1,200 LMT becomes apparent, then you're in a deeper hole than any AR-15 could ever get you out of, IMO. A few years ago...

    Stocks of .223/5.56mm Are Dwindling

I just checked at Palmetto State Armory and they still have Federal XM193 in several different packaging variations for decent prices. Wideners even has some new M855 ditto. FWIW

    Stocks of .223/5.56mm Are Dwindling

That's the whole idea behind the original post - to show that regardless of whether or not the ban is effective yet, there is a run on both M855 and M193 going on right now. Chances are if you don't go get some, there won't be any left.
