AR Builds -- What Parts Did You Choose and Why??

I just finished my build I used an Anderson lower, a DPMS lower parts kit , a UTG full length buttstock, a Palmetto State Armory freedom upper with a Noveske bolt. After finishing my build I started to realize my gun seems to be heavy, it feels about like my Mosin Nagant is that normal or...

    Cz75 omega worth it?

I have recently been looking at the CZ 75 B with the omega trigger, and during my research on the gun I found a few people who preferred the plain CZ75 B model to the 75 B omega. So my question is CZ 75 owners which one do you have? Do you prefer it over the other? Is the 75B Omega better than...

    357 sig

I prefer 40 S & W for one reason, bullet weight. I would much rather have a 180 gr. Projectile moving at 1,180 fps. Than a 125 gr. Moving at 1,400.

    Prices

I am especially referring to ads on armslist that have guns with rust and pitting.

    Prices

I understand selling a gun that is in high demand and low supply at higher prices, but selling a used glock at $550 when I buy one new for $490 from my local dealer is puzzling to me.

    Prices

My problem is with the people reselling their used guns at the same price or higher than a new one.

    Documented 22lr Self Defense Failures

In a gunfight or high stress situation all you need is the added pressure of hitting your target perfectly in the head while they're moving.

    Documented 22lr Self Defense Failures

Why would anyone consider a .22 for self defense? You should always choose the largest caliber that you can handle. .380, 38 special, and 9mm are very reasonable recoiling rounds.

    Documented 22lr Self Defense Failures

The 38 special is more powerful than the the .380, but not by much. The .380 goes faster but has a lighter weight bullet.

38/44 Heavy Duty Cylinder and Hammer problems.

My dad has a 38/44 Heavy Duty just recently we dug it out, and look it over. As I put snap caps in and began the fire it the action functioned for four of the caps, then the next trigger pull the hammer did not move but the cylinder continued to turn. Is this what timing problems are like? I...

    Documented 22lr Self Defense Failures

I was with a friend hunting, when he shot a raccoon six times with a 6" barrel heritage arms .22 revolver. All six shots to head and he continued to run.

    Is Federal 9BPLE 9mm 115gr +P+ JHP a viable defensive load anymore?

I would stick with 147 grain HST.

    Bersa Thunder 380

The Bersa Thunder is a great gun, %100 reliable, good quality, and it looks nice too! My only complaint with mine is the size; it's a fairly large 9x17, but other than that it is a great gun.

Smith and Wesson Internal Lock Questions.

From what I have read about legal repercussions from disabling the internal lock I would not remove it. I think I am going to take my chances with the 629, and if it does lock up I can always throw it at my target.
