    model 60 or sp101

I've had both. The SP101 is a sturdier revolver. I expect it would stand up better to the kind of use you are describing. On the other hand, it is considerably heavier. The 60, in my opinion, conceals better.

Why do obviously justified shootings still go to grand jury?

    Including law enforcement shootings

    Admissability of THR comments?

Considering, exclusively, use of deadly force where a criminal prosecution is probable, and there is cause sufficient to seize computers and access records... yes, this is probably true. In other situations, maybe yes, maybe no. For instance, I know (anecdotally) of a case wherein a law...

    Admissability of THR comments?

There are any number of circumstances surrounding an internet post that could create reasonable doubt. The issue is what you are going to say when you are called to the stand and an attorney, defense, prosecutor or otherwise, asks: "Mr. rcnixon, are you the author of these posts?" If you are...

    Admissability of THR comments?

True. The problem is that if there is suspicion that a post was authored by a particular individual, and that individual is subsequently questioned directly and under oath as to whether or not it is theirs, denial involves perjury. While it may not be possible to actually prove it, if there is...

    Admissability of THR comments?

I was recently involved a criminal case in which the lead law enforcement investigator was questioned on the stand in reference to several statements he had posted in an online forum (not this one). The defense argued that the investigator's personal views on a particular subject (as expressed...

    MercWorx Knives

I've only come face-to-face with a MercWorx knife on one occasion. It was in a local gun store owned by some fellows I knew. They evidently do dull, as the knife's owner had it on an Edge Pro Apex and was cursing the previous owner's poor care of it. The owner was a patrol Sgt., a member of...

Ow, Ow, Ow. (or, the boomstick broke my neck)

Never a neck problem. I fired a very lightweight custom single-shot .375 H&H with a metal buttplate from a bench rest position once though. I took pain medication.

My First and Probably Last Post: An Open Letter

Etc. Having read this: Followed by this: Leads me to the belief that she thinks that she will be banned for her post, not that she won't try to return.

My First and Probably Last Post: An Open Letter

OMG people. She DIDN'T correlate her father's actions with gun owners in general. She indicated that to do so is tempting but would be illogical. She offered her background as an illustration. Then she went on to ask why, if she can exercise logic, others cannot when considering liberals...

My First and Probably Last Post: An Open Letter

Her post doesn't say that, it says exactly the opposite. She is trying to show us how antis are made. She isn't advocating gun control, she is sending a message suggesting we smarten up and not alienate people on the fence. I think Brian Williams and Rachen hit it on the head. People...

    California goverment must be taught

LOL! Yes, yes... all of you PLEASE teach the anti-gun establishment here in CA a good stern lesson by refusing to sell me a gun. That's showing them. LOL!!! Yeah, ok. Give that a try why dontcha. Hey... how come you didn't all teach the PRK a lesson by advocating the closure of the...
