What is a Red Ryder worth?

I never really got into bb guns though I did have a Crosman 6 shot .22 pellet gun that I thought was cool. The only one I've had for the past 40 years is a weird one I bought off someone I worked with. I have never seen another one like but I have seen similar in blue. If anyone knows...

    Reloading classes??

Hey, I have this tshrit! When I got my first progressive an RL550b I had my cousin build me a bench for it. It wobbled a little and as I found out later that's what defeats the primer seating components. The press itself was easy to setup and it produced some good ammo with very few...

    44 special powder ?

2400 is a great powder for mild to wild. I like it because it fills the case. For the shooting that I do I just don’t need full power loads.

    44 special powder ?

2400 is my favorite powder for the .44. In the Spl I prefer 15.0 gr for 1050 fps. I use 16 grains in the 44 magnum.

Dillon 550 or the Dillon 650

650 without a doubt. I started with a 550 about 20 years ago. There was only one reason I got rid of the 550 and that was because there is no room for a powder check die on the 550. My second press was a 1050 that I picked up from a gunshop that was closing its doors, that was my...

    S&W Model 629

My first .44 Mag was a 629 with 6" barrel and I still have it. Two weeks after purchase a 29-2 6" came up for sale, I bought that one too. I'm at a point now where I'll be selling off just about all of my S&W revolvers that I've accumulated over the years, the only one I'll keep is the 629...

    The .357 Magnum Legend....

I wasn't there so all I know is what I was taught. The .357 mag was the most powerful round when It was introduced to the public. This was a time when most revolver cartridges couldn't penetrate a vehicle, so it became a hit with the law enforcement.

    Remington 700 getting factory Timneys

There is only one thing that bothers me about the announcement. It says the trigger is not adjustable, that would bother me.

    How I move my safe

After I bought my safe I found myself moving to a new residence. I panicked, no one wanted to move the huge safe I bought. By luck I found a company near me that built safes and serviced them. The owner told me he would move it for me but he also told me that I should be able to move it...

    How I move my safe

Good job on moving the safe. I have to ask 1 question though, why didn't you take the door off. All the safes I've worked with you can lift the door right off saving a good amount of weight.

    Remington 700 getting factory Timneys

I had one of the rifles that was recalled for the epoxy problem. It was a very crisp trigger and had it been adjustable I could have liked it. Literature said it was adjustable but nothing I did lightened the pull. Rather then fool with it I added a Timney and still have the original in...

Restoring an old gun; why so controversial?

I don't care what others say about refurbishing a gun, I have done several. I'm the one that uses the guns not people who tell me to leave it alone.

S&W Model 17 vs Colt Officer vs Single 6

I have a 1930 Colt Officers Target in .22 rf. The gun is extremely accurate and I take it to the range as often as I can. I did have a S&W model 17 for awhile. Nice gun but it didn't shoot straight, the rear sight was cranked as far as it would go to make it shoot where it was pointed...

Your Favorite Smith & Wesson & Why

For most of my adult life I was the fan of the .357 Mag. Wasn't till I was in my 40s that I happened across my first .44 Mag a 629-1 and the bug bit. Soon after it was a 29-2 that I came across. The most fun for me was the .44 Spl. Why? The .44 Spl is not as big and bulky as the...
