Demi-human, the CZs in the list were all under $500. They've all had triggers replaced more than likely though since that is the only complaint about the most accurate twenty-two priced under $500 that can be bought.

You can cut shims from a beer can and place under the rear base.

If you look at the equipment surveys from the NRA national smallbore silhouette championships, roughly 60-70% are Anschutz, about 20% CZs, and smatterings of the rest.

To save ammo, I just try to remember what a particular gun's POI is and aim accordingly, e.g. if it shoots low and to the right, I aim high and to the left.

Great price. I sold a Rem 78 in 30.06 for $400 last winter. It is the same action as the 700 but had a birch stock and the bolt wasn't jeweled.

At $250, you're getting a good deal assuming the rifle is even in average shape. I bought one a month ago and love it. I bought six boxes of ammo just so I would have brass. Apparently, brass is a seasonal run.

I am just now leaving the range. I was surprised at how mild the recoil was even with the plastic butt plate. It grouped fine for hunting with 200 gr Rem corelokts even with the crappy fixed 4x Bushnell -- less than 3" at 100 yds once I got the elevation set. I'm happy. I'll put better...

Apparently, ammo and components are just seasonally produced now. Which to me means, they make as much as they expect to sell, distribute it, and, when it's gone, it's gone till next year. With deer season approaching, I would expect to see it on shelves soon.

Thanks, Sam. I am meeting a friend at the range who is going to loan me a couple manuals. I am going to study up on the intro material and then start trying to figure out this whole reloading thing. It really is a mystery to a nonreloader but has to be doable.

I just bought a Marlin 336 in 35 Rem. I couldn't find ammo in any store except one. They were Remington 200 gr core-lokts priced at $29.99. Someone won't like it, but I bought all six boxes to have the brass.
