    Nite Scout 9mm SMG

Some one said it but it looks to me as if a H&K end cap would fit so that means you have access to a good number of stocks. You could probably use an HK scope/rail clamp too. Might be neat SBR but i just wanted to know if anybody had shot one. It still comes in at about half and then...

    Nite Scout 9mm SMG

Anyone know anything about this rather interesting pistol i just saw in an ad from CDNN? http://www.nitescout.com/products.html There isn't much information on their website other than its a blow back H&K pattern gun that takes Uzi mags. Looks pretty neat but i can't find any...

    50th Flattop .357 Blackhawk

I will say one thing about my 50, i don't think they handle recoil near as well as the large frames with the "Ruger Style" grip as opposed to the "colt like" style the 50's have. The weight of course has a lot to do with that though the thinner grips tend to sting the hand a bit more...

    50th Flattop .357 Blackhawk

Just acquired a long time lust of mine. Traded a GP100 to get into it and am very happy with my purchase. I've wanted one ever since i leaned how to shoot on a Single Six. A few years ago i traded the Single Six for a 6.5 inch blackhawk but found it to be too heavy and a shade to big for my...

    357 Silvertip vs 125

Just went out and shot three different full power 357 loads out of my new flattop blackhawk. I preferred the heaver 145 158 gr rounds over the faster 125gr rounds. The 125's sting while the 158's push and i found the heavier rounds to be more controllable and more pleasant to shoot. Were i you i...

    Buying a Taurus PT92?

Owned a PT-100 and got rid of it because i didn't like the 40 S&W. Sold it for more than i paid for it but i did like the gun while i had it. Would probably buy another if i was looking for another falling block pistol. The safety is acutely one of the better designed safeties on any full size...

    Vintage Rifle Matches, What Gun?

The plan was to practice with the best surplus stuff i could find and then shoot Prvi Partizan Match 7.62x54R 182 Grain. I see the stuff for about $13 all the time at my local Academy and have heard good things. Plus i have never had any bad experiences with Prvi. The priv is all so really...

    Vintage Rifle Matches, What Gun?

The rules say that the rifle has to be a service rifle pre 1956 i believe Wow a Winchester 1895 would be awesome in 7.62x54R and legal since the Russians ordered a bunch and used them in service at the turn of the 20th century modified for stripper clips. But i doubt you could find one and...

    Vintage Rifle Matches, What Gun?

To those recommending the 1903A3, I would go with that in a heart beat but I can not find one in my price range in Georgia and i have done some looking. I even tried gun broker and a basic 1903 seems to start around 600-700 every where i look. Also does anyone have a source for 8mm Mauser? i...

    Vintage Rifle Matches, What Gun?

If i could find a 1903A3 for under $400 that would be my first choice but i can't. They go for much more.

    Vintage Rifle Matches, What Gun?

A Garand is over budget and i think they have a rule about semi autos in the match. Also i don't think it would be as accurate as the other guns nor would it be as easy or cheap to squeeze accuracy out of. I know i would have to shoot ball ammo out of it, then i would want a adjustable gas...

    Vintage Rifle Matches, What Gun?

To those of you who do shoot or have shot in such a match I am having a time figuring what gun to buy so i can participate in the vintage matches my local club does. I don't reload myself and would like to be able to purchase ammo at semi-reasonable prices so that has narrowed my choices down...

    Reloading my CZ

It is slower and serves no purpose on a gun designed to be released by the slide release. Their is nothing wrong with slingshoting to release the slide but the side release is there for a reason. I own two CZ's and you will never go wrong using the slide release.

    New Arsenal Strike One Pistol...thoughts?

Always love to see something other than the JMB lock up system being used in the design, and their design looks really neat even it is in some ways very similar. It looks as if the link is "floating" on the barrel and as the slide moves back is forced down but the barrel remains stationary...

Striker-fired vs hammer-fired handguns and accuracy

If you are speaking about strictly mechanical accuracy all things being equal, we can ignore the human element, barrel accuracy, slide fit, etc. In a striker system you have a striker/firing pin/plunger moving in line with the barrel to strike the primer. In a hammer system you have a...
