My wife's selection is a S&W 642. She is taking the concealed carry class next week. Took her to the range yesterday to use her new gun. 49 out of 50 in the silhouette! I am so proud of her, and she loves her J Frame.

That's priceless.....that is exactly me! I am already agonizing about it. My wife was with me and demanded to know why I was leaving without getting one. Maybe I'll go back tomorrow! I was researching more after I got home and saw that...
Thanks to all for the helpful comments. I would definitely consider a used 228 if I could find one. Just returned from the gun shop and some range time. They had both the 229 and M11; M11 was $180 more. I rented a 229 and it felt really good and shot great. Still trying to decide.

I'm looking for an 1873 Winchester style lever acion rifle in .357. I would appreciate information on the types of grips. What's your preference and pros and cons of each. thanks.
A few months ago there were a number of Uberti's in local shops. Can't find one anywhere now. Are they still producing them or are folks just jumping on them that fast? Looking for an 1873 Winchester in .357.
