    Hellcat? Yes or no?

I had a Springfield XDS in .45acp, and loved it for its reliability. I never had a single failure with it, but the capacity was my reason for selling it and replacing it with the Hellcat. Two of my buddies already had Hellcats, so I had a chance to try out this model. They both had praises for...

    Gp100 hammer pivot pin loose

I have no argument there, except to say that Ruger's fine customer service is a model for all businesses. I recently reminded an employee at S&W of this. Yes, UncleEd, I plan to give them a call. My revolver is unchanged from it's factory design, and having the pivot pin work it's way out of...

    Gp100 hammer pivot pin loose

I've had a GP100 for several years and loved everything about the revolver, the version with the 4.2" barrel. The hammer pivot pin has never moved at all. I recently added the Wiley Clapp II 7-round version to my collection, and I've had the hammer pivot pin work its way out enough to actually...

New Red Dot for Ruger Mark III Hunter?

One of my red dot sights has given up the ghost, so that has set a rotation in motion at my place. I'm left with finding a new red dot for my Stainless Ruger Mark III .22 Hunter. Obviously, there is no shortage of options. But, it's been a little while since I've gone red dot shopping. I thought...

    New Florida Law Begins Confiscation

It was just a few months ago that the lib chicks on "The View" were declaring VP Pence mentally ill because he prays to the God of the Bible. I wonder how many left-wing judges in Florida are of the same mindset...

    Trouble with .45 acp rounds

Thanks for the input all. As much as I like this Dillon press, I have to say that the advice I got from their tech led me astray on this problem. The stage 2 die on the RL550B inserts the powder, and flares the casing to accept the bullet. I adjusted the flare (aka "belling") almost completely...

    Trouble with .45 acp rounds

BSA1...Yes, it's a tapered crimp die for this semi-auto setup. The advice I got to set it lower was actually from the Dillon tech when I called. I did not follow his advice, as I felt he was wrong. Twice during my conversation with him I had to remind him this was .45 auto, and not .45 Colt. He...

    Trouble with .45 acp rounds

The diameter of the cartridge stops it (too wide). But, the .451 bullet and the forward portion of the cartridge slide into the gauge. It really gets hung up in the final 1/8" toward the breech end of the cartridge.

    Trouble with .45 acp rounds

I've run some .45 acp reloads on my Dillon RL550B, and I'm hoping someone has a solution for me. This is a 4-stage press. The first stage decaps and resizes the casing. After stage #1, the casings slide easily into my cartridge gauge. After stage 3 (seat bullet), and stage 4 (crimp), the...
